The points at 28:58 routing onto the District line, and 29:13 routing onto the Piccadilly line, no longer exist as of 2021.
Biggest change would be Acton Town to Hammersmith, they removed the ability for Piccadilly Line trains to run down the local (District line tracks) past Acton Town due to the District Line being automated. This was done in 2021.
Matthew Wright was a massive lefty knob back then.... and nothing has changed in 2024
I don't believe it 😂
I noticed at southgate that the "D on" sign changed to a "D off". what is that about?
at oakwood, pk22 now has a co-acting indication
I wonder how they got the tunnel so illuminated?
Good video and great commentary, well done.
I've used the tube in Scotland lots of times in the past and occasionally nowadays and lve never seen any violence between passengers and staff.
We don't have a tube in Glasgow. We have the underground
These people all come across as actors. It feels scripted?
They are actors and they are playing real people. Everything they are saying, was said by the real staff members who work for the London Ungeround. They read the stories of what these people have said. So they are acting it out. 👍
I love these (as far as its possible to love a very functional thing like a tube train). I think they are a modern design icon.. I think in 60 years time they will be looked back on very fondly.
THe velocity profile being maintained with exceptional precision nowadays is a lie.

lol nice
Only thing I didn't like about this video is having the t.v. ads included.
A crude hodgepodge of nonsensical speakers with no substance.
We're born to be real not perfect ❤ Thanks for all your hard work keeping London Safe😊
we need this since them doors on the central line are very dangerours
Bro they have them installed
@@BryanZhang-td6mw uh no they don’t if you get stuck in Thosedoors you are not getting out alive
Even the northern and jubilee line trains
No this is just a concept design which never made it to the actual trains
they look after dead people? No wonder the station is so bloody haunted. Yuck!!
This still does not show how to get from the central line to Monument station.
It's not a guide of the station
Makes very little sense to me. Not helpful at all.
Much more interesting with the light on instead of peering into just darkness
Attitudes to working in London is piss poor profit over safety etc etc bosses that don't give a toss only cares about targets sale's
I think the bloke at 3:03 is working at Yarra Trams in Melbourne saw a worker who looked like an older version of him in the city not too long ago
No booking off time? Now you know why they drive quickly.
Wow.
The next station is Great Portland Street. Change for Circle and Hammersmith & City line services towards Paddington. This station has a short platform. The rear two doorways will not open here. Please use the other doorways. Please mind the gap when you leaving the train.
Very impressive how they did it so quickly. Do you have a video of how they rerouted the track once the Bank extension was complete. They did it ahead of schedule. The line was closed for less time than expected. Must have worked very quickly.
Very very good video.... The tunell looked great and you could see it...
it's *MY* sleepover and *I* get to pick the movie
I've always been curious. I see the power rail that stands beside the running rail.but what does the center rail do?
The outer rail is positive, the centre rail is negative, at least that’s what I was told, there may be a better explanation..
That's correct. @@mjspice100
that’s it’s mad as the tunnel just goes on and on…and while i’m watching im constantly looking for a signal and my eyes are scanning coz if the darkness!! really interesting video..i love the underground as it’s rich in history and thankfully it hasn’t been changed that much too over the years so it’s kept it’s originality from the good old days
Thank you. Much respect to all drivers. You all do a awesome job.👍🏼👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This is definately the Northern and Jubilee Line door system
No they're not. The doors do not stop on detecting an obstruction. They continue to try and close.
I love Balham
Alexander Armstrong
Along walk out unless you waved down a passing train🥵
This is fascinating to me as an Irishman in Manchester, who was last on the Tube on 25th June 2002 - I’ve seen other films of the Tube and I’ve become aware that fellow Irish people have worked on the Tube, including as Drivers 🇮🇪☘️🇬🇧❤️
25% of LUL operators are irish 😀
The interior looks so much better, compared to what we got with the Class 710's...
im impressed you have Piccadilly line in british railway period
Bullshit professional
Imagine talking like this for the entire day 😢
It's really not that bad. If anything, its passes the time.
Their goal is not to make money, their goal is to build amazing underground trains for a good travelling excperience for passengers.
When was this filmed?
Was this video upload in the 1980s
2an a qtre minute mile to Manor house. 3 to 2 pm gmt.
Part of the functions decribed here are implemented on Brussels metro rolling stock since the late 90ies on M5 stock, as well as on the more recent M6 and M7 stock, by another door manufacturer however.
clapham common
central and northern line visible but i couldn't see the Elisabeth line.
Funny to think our modernised trains here in Prague got a very similar microprocessor-driven door system all the way since the 90s, meanwhile so called "modern" city of London still using obsolete air powered doors and calling this a new technology.
this video is from the 90s lool
slightly outdated, yes... obsolete? no
The 2009 stock on Victoria line isn't air powered I believe, it sounds like the door on this video, minus the whiney motor noise.
you know how much cheaper and simpler it is to use air powered doors. Having a CPU on each door was actually quite flawed when it was first implemented as whenever the door configuration needed changing, engineers had to manually configure each door individually which took ages. I don't disagree that this system is better, but the "old" system still has plenty of advantages compared to this one.
