makes me do!
Great work
I love stuff like this. You can't beat just stacking loads of modules together! You seem to have about 9 VCV delays with roughly the same settings though, just wondering if it would be easier to use a merge and stick them into a polyphonic delay? There's a few available now. Just a thought, cheers.
Thank you for your comment. I made this patch for a competition/challenge (see link in the description) and the rules are to use only VCV Fundamental modules and modules from one plugin/vendor of choice (I choosed Geodesics). Unfortunatly in this subset of modules there's no polyphonic delay, and the settings of my delay modules might be "roughly the same" but they are slightly different and they are modulated by LFOs that have also slightly different settings. At the end this gives a subtle chorus and reverb effect. The tiny differences in the settings of all that delay modules makes this kinda human voice choir sound out of a rather cheesy saw wave and some noise. I put a link to the patch into the description so you can give it a try ;)
@@postoperator ah that makes sense, I'll have a look. I never bother with those challenges, I like to just patch whatever I want! I guess the restrictions are a way of forcing you to find new ways of doing things, so it's probably a good learning process.
Holy and terrifying voices! This patch is gorgeous.
holy sheet you used corel for svgs?! amazing!
Im one minute in, im liking it so far
Great integration w/VCV-R2
If you want to use the Y axis, how do you do that?
I developed my own MPE module that has an Y output library.vcvrack.com/Ahornberg/MIDIPolyExpression
@@postoperator Thanks! I just bought a Linnstrument recently and would like to get all it's got to give out of it.
@@mechantechatonne Maybe take a look at the official LinnStrument forum www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=263
beautiful ambient sound
Thank you!
cool, what software is that on the screen (the modular?)
That's VCV Rack vcvrack.com
Very intimate and casual sound. I've been having fun with your Harmonizer! What are you sending through it in this patch?
Thank you! Before I started recording the video, I used the SEQ 3 to generate pitch and some modulation for sine waves. I recorded this stuff to the Tape Recorders in the patches. In the video I played over this recordings using a saw wave.
@@postoperator With the Linnstrument, can the X axis be used as a continuous ribbon-like pitch control? Like, let's say I want to tune an interval by ear (for xenharmonic/microtonal purposes). Is it possible to find harmonic seventh (7/4) interval (or get close to it) by moving my finger to the right spot? I guess one part of that depends on whether the notes always start quantized to 12EDO. If they do, I'm hoping it's possible to at least gliss around to find some more juicy Just intervals. I'm assuming that the other abilities of the Linnstrument like customizing pad colors and moving the row displacements around make it feasible to play in scales that have more/less than 12 steps. I don't know of anyone else who's interested in VCV, Linnstrument, AND microtonal music, so I hope you don't mind my asking!
@@markfdesimone On the LinnStrument, there are several settings related to the X-axis. I always play with an unquantized X-axis to get exactly what you are looking for. It's like playing on an unfretted string instrument. Most people do not play the LinnStrument like I do and use one of the various quantize-settings described in the manual. I started a thread about this topic on the official LinnStrument forum www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=583875&sid=156fd45396181c08e6170c6527746799 Here's a link to the LinnStrument manual. I read this a hundred times befor I bought my Linnstrument www.rogerlinndesign.com/support/linnstrument-support-panel-settings As far as I know it is possible to change the colors of the pads to match any equal-division tuning beyond 12edo. Before I played the LinnStrument I often used 33ed4 en.xen.wiki/w/33ed4 but the more I play the LinnStrument, the more I get interested in just intonation and tuning by ear. And yes, I think I'm the only one playing the LinnStrument combined with VCV and with a microtonal touch but I don't want to call myself a microtonalist ;)
really nice!
I just ran across your bcc patches for linnstrument. What is the interface you use to get mpe information into vcv?
I use my own interface MIDI Poly Expression library.vcvrack.com/Ahornberg/MIDIPolyExpression
@@postoperator Oh! Thank you so much. Deeply appreciated.
Wow, this is great. I love how human all the gestures are. Don't think I've heard anything else from modular that's this expressive. Maybe I need a linnstrument!
Thanks! I think you need a LinnStrument.

Very cool, also great track, just gave it a proper listen! Really nice work.
This should have far more views
Holy shit this absolutely slaps! Keep up the good work!!
I like this. But I'm not sure how the module works. I will try it now.
You can download the patch from patchstorage.com/sequentially-crossfade-harmonics-through-poly-channels/
@@postoperator Thanks!
Still to be made, the module that I won't be able to break without a manual. I took one or two hints from your patch but what took me the longest was the midi gates triggered by a qwerty, so if I understood it, these inputs are the switches of each mixture and there can only be one at the time. Only one doubt about the architecture of the module, the sub harmonics and the harmonics knobs could be only one, since going up one brings the pitch up and the sub going up brings the pitch down, am I right ? Just one more what are the outputs on the right side of each mixture for ? Thanks
Firstly, I make my modules for my personal use-cases and I share my modules for free. Maybe it helps to make yourself comfortable with the doepfer.de/a113.htm although my module works on CV signals and not on audio signals. Only one Mixture is active at a given time, so you can store up to 4 chords/mixtures and play one of them at a time. There have to be 2 knobs for the frequency ratio: one is the numerator/harmonics/ovetones, the other is the denominator/subharmonics/"untertones". For example, 3/2 gives you a pure fifth and 5/4 gives you a pure major third. The module has monophonic inputs for gate, retrigger, velocity, and pitch. And it has polyphonic outputs for these 4 CV signals. Gate ans retrigger in/out sit on the top, velocity and pitch in/out sit on the bottom of the module. Maybe check out my downloadable patches at patchstorage.com/author/ahornberg/ In some of my patches I use the harmonizer module.
@@postoperator Thanks for everything. I was just checking the ratios to get pitch, nice stuff.
Without an explanation I can't make any sense of what's going on. The module seems promising for I'm still looking for an easy, efficient, chord progression module and I haven't found one where I can write my own chords and sequence them. I tried recently Squinky Labs piano roll, which seems promising, I can record the chords directly into the roll. I was hopeful because of the name "harmonizer", let's see if there's more information in the manual.
Please be patient. I'm going to make a more understandable video about my Harmonizer module. With my module, you can define 4 microtonal chords, called Mixtures. This is inspired by the Mixture Trautonium played by Oskar Sala. I'm sorry, but here is no way to record chords into the Harmonizer module. This is not a sequencer module.
Sorry but thats a straight dislike man. This is hurting my ears :D
『p』『r』『o』『m』『o』『s』『m』 😳
i will never understand what a vca fader is good for, just select the tracks and change the value, all will move. or use the group fader
its just another way of doing thiings... But the group does not adjust the send levels if you are using post fader sends. Of course bitwig has a great advantage of using fx inside a group... so less necessary unless you are using sends outside of that group.
but it works,. we can see the direction of signals.
crazy forward thinking module
This is so good

I tried to load in vst ableton but its not seeing in vst list ..? How can i solve ?
put it in your VST-folder
you made it by yourself?there isnt this plugin in the internet. how can i get it?
Yes, I made it by myself. You can download it here www.dropbox.com/s/nnomq6ylutgcuhj/MIDI%20Swing.zip?dl=0
where can i get it???
Simple, but powerfull!
LOL This was actually an eye opener to me.. So simple yet you just laid the total ground work for an ambient track!~
This is really nice! Thanks for uploading. :) Subscribed.
nice work!
Thank you!
can you tell me the name of the theme skin youre using, I kind of like it!!
It is based on Default_black and I changed all the yellow to green.
Great video! You kind of make an older impression and for some reason I'm attracted by your charm. Best wishes!
Thank you!
