How To Elevate Your Hunting Blind
Просмотров 422 тыс.11 лет назад
Instructional video on how to elevate your Hunter's Comfort blind using our risers and 4x4 posts. www.hunterscomfortusa.com/Hunters_Comfort_-_Deer_Hunting_Blinds.html
This was easy to set up and I'm perfectly happy with how big it is. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxLQGtOO9dXIsNktEeycGoIT6jtJJNTScA The main front 2 windows are a nice addition with the quiet drop down or up hooks. The center is a zipper, and the outsides are Velcro, but in the center I can drop it to where I want it quietly. The side windows are Velcro, but I guess I get to see out and nothing can see in. To everyone complaining about the door, it's perfect. It's a quiet entry door. One snap buckle and 4 snap on pole ends. Plenty of room for my 12 Guage to maneuver around. I'm quite happy with it.
Szuper!
1500,the in door heated pool is optional
Redneck method to elevate your box blind. Step 1: Chill a case of beer. Step 2: Invite several friends over. Step 3. Open beers and enjoy a couple. Step 4: Ask everyone to tilt the stand up while you video for You Tube. Step 5: Finish off the beers up in the stand.
I built an 8-ft high platform with a 5x5x6 ft tall box on top of it a couple years ago I used a chain and my truck to stand it up using this technique. The biggest worry was once it stood up would it flop on over the other way on its side, no worries though I made the stance wide enough when it flipped over on its legs it stayed.
The Egyptians used the same technique
Do you have a list of materials including fasteners and tools?
Why not just use a helicopter?!
ruclips.net/video/g4xEPlJ3Zfs/видео.html Here is a teaser to my blind build
Just build 1 on 4 legs already planted in the ground You don't have to worry about the wind
Awesome!
Looks kinda cheap. Mine was heavy as fuck. I still can’t figure it out. I think I need a crane
Do you think you could walk up a blind on 10ft posts?
Sure with either enough man power or a pulley method using a tree branch
@@JD-hy6yc took 4 of us, but we did it.
What did you use to put the risers on the 2x4, screws or bolts
5/16 lag bolts 1 1/2" long
@@toddcannady3592 thank you
I need TWO for my Front yard.in Plant City Florida. ??$$
Check out Swift Lift
Should have used polycarbonate windows instead of acrylic.
I can tell you never had to do hard work lol
What the heck is the blind made out of looks like spray in wall foam insulation.
How high can it be elevated if a person had pulleys or some other means? Would it be safe at 20 feet?
Kelly you're correct. with the angle of the 4x4 post and the bracing it will stay in place while sitting it up
You never put a screw in the 4x4's in the risers.
Did you watch to the end??
yes you would have to build your ladder or steps to enter the blind.
I have one question, how do you get up in the blind without a separate ladder
dont be stupid stupid , duh now how do I shoot a deer ? you didn't tell us that part.
davetileguy You’re a friendly fella, aren’t you.
@@davethompson3252 I don't do stupid.
wow, one hunting blind and a pickup load of lumber!
I bought excellent handbook from woodprix website. Just google woodprix and start your journey to the better life
Don’t forget to cable that puppy down 🇺🇸🇺🇸🤠🇺🇸🇺🇸
Here is a video I made of some modification I made to the Surround View 270 Hunting BLind. Raised it 8 foot of the ground. ruclips.net/video/FXvZgOxlHM8/видео.html
Check out this tortured Ameristep blind, its unbelievable that it survived! ruclips.net/video/zdsA-sQJJf8/видео.html
6ft in the air....what if your going for 12 or 14 ft in the air? Wldnt be so easy.
why not? just have to be more careful standing it up.
I put mine 50 feet up on 3 posts.
put mine 76 feet up on 2 1/4 posts
Put mine 102 feet up on a 1.125 post. It was so easy. 😅
@@Rebar-m7jDude you win!😂
Don't worry about it blowing over? Set them posts in the ground.
Where can I buy the metal 4x4 leg holders at? Thanks for the video.
These boys need to learn what a cordless impact driver is.
agree. a cordless impact and a cordless circular saw really work slick!
A co worker has one 1500 he paid! That's way to much just dress warm.
That's actually not a bad price considering the amount work that goes into building this as compared to other pre-built blinds like the shadow hunter or flimsy plastic blinds that the roof will cave in on after the first heavy snow.
You could just build your own for half that.
@@Rangerfan-gz1rx - I'm building my own right now. I'm already at just over $600. I still haven't roofed it nor purchased the posts and bracing that will elevate it, materials to build the stairs, door hardware, etc. I still have to disassemble and get it up north in multiple sections and erect it. There's no doubt it will be better than any store bought, but this was a LOT of work.
110 That's a rip off! The steel don't cost that much. I'l weld up mine and save labor charge.
Hush up boy!!!!
is there any ventilation in that? or are you just breathing your own air the whole time?
Send me the blind I emailed you about! I will feature it on The Sanctuary!
porcupines don't eat the foam?
Thanks Whitenton, it really is simple. The key is the bracing. We sell our risers at $110.00 per set of 4.
And it wont tip over in high winds?
Whats the price for the risers?
