What weight/ounce leather are you using?
3 to 4 oz.
It turned out really great. Now you need to make a cowboy hat and a saddle and boots, and you would be ready to rodeo
I always wanted to be a cowboy. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Awesome, thank you for the tutorial! I want to make a vest for my doll and this is super helpful!
That was a great idea. Putting the spots over the rivets. When I try to make them, I'm going to use white hair on leather, but all the rest the same
Thanks for watching. What size shoe do you wear?

They are turning out really nice.
Thank you. Thanks for watching and commenting. Let me know if there is something you want to see me try to make.
Looking good Tommy Deanie 👍

How does the water evaporate from the sucked bag?....great method but not sure if i wanna lovk my pistol in with all that moisture
I only leave the holster in the bag for about an hour. That seems to be long enough to keep the shape. Then I let it air dry with the gun in for about another two hours. Then I remove the gun to complete the drying process.
Should have shown us the final product.
Can't wait to see the hair on hide.
Love the intro
Scraps are the best for that all around projects
It turned out really great 👉👈
Thanks so much!
Looks really great. Love the Lazer work
Love the holster idea. My screw gun has a belt clip, and when you are climbing up a ladder, it has fallen off, and I think the holster is a better idea. I'm going to make one. I was thinking of also putting a hold down strap on it so there is no way it can pop out
Great idea! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Also love the new intro
Thanks for the feedback.
What an outstanding idea. I'm surprised that this hasn't been thought of before
Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I look forward to what you have to say.
Did you really make the video and not show the finished product? Maybe that would be a good idea to include so you could show it actually works, what it looks like, come on man.
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Really nice , and creative belt. The actual black leather has a nice shine to it. To me, thats how i always determined a factor of "quality" for a belt i was interested in choosing. That it was made well. Just seemed to be a common thing with leather belts. Nice work!!! I also appreciate you putting the belt on to show how it looks. Some other leather craft guys make great stuff but dont shown it off? I dont get it. You should do that more often i think.
Thank you for your comment! Please keep watching.
Vacuum forming leather, never even crossed my mind, thanks for this!!!!
Thanks for watching and commenting.
10 min video if you didn't enjoy your own voice so much
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Excellent video!
Thanks for watching!
For the love of god, this could have been a 2 min video.
Do y'all get u tube points for showing the camera your pistol is empty? Just asking since I see so many folks do that....frankly I don't give a shit. I figure if ya blow your face or finger off we probably not gonna see that mess on your u tube page. Just my 2cents from the bleacher seats. ✌️
I basically did the same thing, but I thought there's got to be a better way to press the leather. So I went out to my shop and pressed it with my 20-ton press, and it works great. No waiting for gravity to work.
best video ever
Thanks for watching and commenting!
I was about to try this using the kydex press mold method, but I'm glad I found your video. We have a big Food Saver that we use often!
You can make your own punch using a piece of pipe. Just cut it in half at the tip and maybe sharpen the edges with a file to get the edge look you want. 😎👍. I'll be using this with wood.
That sounds great. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I just did my marlin 336 35 rem. Modified my leaver to fit my big paw hands. Yours turned out great 👍 👌
Thank you so much for watching and commenting.
Very helpful, thank you. Gave me some great ideas.
Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
@@highnoonleatherworx6283 watching your whole series on that project now. Great stuff.
I made it back
Always great to hear from you! Thanks so much for the support.
That has always been my biggest problem is making the pattern come out right. The holster is going to look great from what I can see
Turned out great. Just as you said it. I can seal form my projects, but after I let the set for an hour or more depending on moisture in the leather, then I bake it to harden it so it will never loose it's shape
I have molded holsters by making the outer half, wrapping the gun and vac sealing the top leather against a 6 x 6" piece of thin plywood (luan) to allow me to ad heavy flat leather back later.
Met a guy 20 years ago at a gun show who made me a holster like this. He used a crock pot to make warm water for the holster, wrapped my pistol, vac sealed it and told me to leave it for the rest of the gun show. Opened it later and did have to clean the pistol but the holster lived for 15 years in my hands and then passed on to someone else.
Thanks for the info and thanks for watching!
When I edge dye, I've always used a qtip. I've never used a rag before
This is not the way to properly break in a leather holster.
Thanks so much for watching!
They turned out great. The only thing I would do is on the bottom strap in front. I would have rivet it to the buckle. The set I made was 1 1/2 wide, and I put a Concho on the back patch. Keep up the good work. Looking for your next project. I wish I could give up 10 thumbs-up 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for the support and for watching. I appreciate the tip as well. And of course, the thumbs up!
I'll be waiting for part 😁
Where did you get the mini AR
I guess you're strapped now. Lol 😆
The only thing I did different from you was I left ears on it to fold over for the rectangles to be riveted on. I thought it would make it stronger.
Sounds good. Thanks for the tip and thanks for watching.
Thanks for your help, that was really informative! Gonna give this a try.
👍👍👍👍
I want to start stamping leather but still working on edging and getting my stitch line straight. No matter how much I try, it always has a little wave in it. I put a stitch line in, but still
how do you cut out your long pieces of leather? TIA
was the slide with cowboy hat & rivet in back a 1x6" piece of leather also?
do you sell your blanks?
Uhg.. you are old. Like me... Why did you NOT show the finished holster? Because you must be gay... Lol You're someone's caulk holster.. Pin this comment
I just moved out of boxes this week. Got some storage cabinets to put my stuff in. No more hunting for everything
Great idea
Thank you for the comment, and please keep watching.
It's worth the price to do stuff like that. One question is why it put the line on the right side of the leather when engraving
I did not realize there was a line at the edge of my artwork until I started engraving. Learning curve... Thanks so much for watching!
