What a performer! God Bless Ronnie Barron!

This is terrific. There is not a lot out there of Ronnie Barron live performances. Great shots of his keyboard work. Two nice Percy Mayfield covers (also from Louisiana). Barron is such an incredible artist and pretty much unknown.

This is so precious. I own 4 of his albums - Reverend Ether, Smile of Life, Blue Delicacies, and Lights Out. He passed away years ago....too young to die.

I didn't even know he was a musician. I saw him in the Steven Segall movie "Above the law". When I heard him speak I knew he was from Algiers/NOLA like me. Especially when they walk in on the young girl upstairs in the bar scene and he says "I didn't know all that was in here". Spoken like a true Algerian. I also didn't know he was a good friend of Dr. John's. That makes him even cooler

Wow! So glad I found this. Just like Robert here, Ronnie was a cousin of mine. He was my father's first cousin and one of his best friends too. Ronnie would visit with us when he was in town from California when I was a kid. I remember watching him play the piano at his mom's house, my great Aunt Mildred's house. Thanks for sharing this!
