Two hip replacements later and my butt has all but faded to a couple jiblets so have to wear suspenders. Gettin old aint for sissys! Thanks for the great advice, nice looking suspenders.

Excellent video and explanation of how clips become loose. Unfortunately thats usually the issue and no explanation as to how to replace them. Fortunately there are videos on here explaining how to do so. I was actually going about it the wrong way until I watched. Bought 50 replacement clips from Amazon and repaired all my loose clips with ease.

Why do all 3 of my pairs of suspenders (even a fancy pair I got in Rome when I was 16) snap up on me in the back every time I ever try to wear them and do so 5+ times per day? This has caused me not use use any of my suspenders.

Bad snaps on suspenders is part of why they disappeared once manufacturers stopped putting the extra buttons on trousers. I wore suspenders when very young and hated the snaps even then. Now you can find suspenders that hook pin your belt loops. Those are great. That is what I use now. Gave up on suspenders until the belt loop hook clips appeared.

Most suspender stores and dealers say that you don't wear a belt when wearing suspenders. I have t disagree with this, for myself, as I am usually wearing some kind of tool holster or sheath, which requires wearing a belt. My question is WHY is it not recommended to wear a belt with suspenders? Is this strictly a "style" thing?

I'm 28 and I'm never wearing a belt again. I got a pair of suspenders for work because my belt would cut into me and I would end up having to pull my pants up constantly because I'm skinny and I have no back side. I used these at work today and it was so nice not having to deal with a belt. My pears laughed and called them old man straps, but look whose pants are falling now!
