The fucking goats.
Was very lucky to see The Who at Charlton football ground in 1974, me and some friends from school bunked in by going through a corrugated iron sheet that had been bent to gain access. Funny thing is over 40 years later I was talking to my pension fund manager who was a big Who fan and he said that it was him and his friends that had bent the corrugated iron fence to get in for free.
03:10. A "new" and alterative look at the very end of the Monterey festival gig: Pete pulls down the amp. and kick it before walking down the stage. The usual edit of this show has this moment filmed from another camera, other side of the stage. You can barely see Pete there. I am not familiar with any othet source for this angle and camera.
Minha banda de coração ! Aqui do Brasil um grande abraço aos fãs do WHO !!!
Wow keith moon is fat
Pretty much sums up the anarchy and energy that was The Who with Moon. Always loved the shot of the audience cheering during the "People walk in sideways" verse at 1:20. Come to find it was in Hamburg.
I love the Movie this is from so much.
I love the Who "goodnight" montage! The Kids Are Alright (song) was added on the DVD. It wasn't in the movie or on the album- continuing a weird little 70s tradition started by Zep and Queen and a couple of others I can't think of right now.
After The Beatles the greatest rock band ever!
Uhm no . . .
Ummm...yeah
ok, looking for a tie breaker . . . anyone?
Second best qfter the Beatles? In terms of live, The Who are a million times better😂
Better than the Beatles imo.
I have seen this movie 1000 times and still can't find Rick Danko in it.......
LONG LIVE ROCK - THE WHO
LONG LIVE ROCK - THE WHO ROGER DALTREY - PETE TOWNSHEND - JOHN ENTWISTLE - KEITH MOON
I still remember the first time I saw this film on a late night showing on a local station in the 80's. I had a friend who was a big Who fan, I was more into Led Zeppelin. But after I saw this, I asked him to tape me lots of their songs. "Long Live Rock" was the perfect song to end the movie with. I also loved that they aired the Woodstock footage. Plus "A Quick One' on the Rolling Stones show.
excited that i happen to be the 515th viewer :)
this is an awesome dvd! check out the multiple angles. :)
Love 2:55, perfect image of The Who. Ox hanging back with his bass and Daltrey spinning the mic while Pete and Moonie destroy the stage.
