Fishing BC Presents: Hike In Lakes on the Fishing Highway 24
Two great people, Paula and Katie. Love it.
Hey i am new to fly fishing. I am curious what depths are you seeing fish this time of year? What flies do you recommend?
Awesome! What kind of raft is that?
Great video. May have to give it a go.
Thank you Fishing BC for this beautiful feature of Ruth Lake and our special resort.
You can really see the love put into the work.
Just right. Love it.
Great stuff.
Nothing like chasing frenzies in the mouth of the Adam's with 10 ft flyrods and Bucktails......yeeeeha
I love fishing the Fernie area, its incredible
Tammies my friends grandma ! Love the big a frame cabins
Saw the F80 and knew he was legit
I've met Pete hes a good dude
If somebody threw my boat down the rocky hillside like that, they would be going in the river
I wonder if the fish are edible after the Mt Polly tailings pond scandal / environmental disaster.
Currently on my buddy's private house boat fishing on the shushwap and we are reading the regs and talking to other locals and can't determine what we are allowed to use. Most lures and what not come with two individual hooks on them. But the regs say can only use a single barbless hook. But others telling us we can use multiple hooks. Trying our best to follow the regs but these single hooks are making it very difficult to even get anything reeled in. Could you give me some advice since you charter these waters
Kerry is a first class guide and operator. He is also very generous with his knowledge and is a very pleasant person. Cant recommended him enough. Good luck out there!
Nice video. Been looking into inflatable boats what kind do you have in this video?
very well compelled and edited short film... I am surprised about the low views
I’ll be up in July to fish with the Elk River guys
I stayed at this resort on offseason for work to build a water tower for the school there in shearwater. Very remote location, very beautiful. Got to see seals and orcas while there. Very nice place for fishing, would love to go back there to do just that instead of work!
Absolutely beautiful! Very well done.
So good!
Love it!!!
How lucky we are to live in the incredible East Kootenay!
Love that music in the second half ... anyone know who that is?
That looks pretty sweet! Very cool to be on the ice fishing ice off for sure! Neat experience.
Nice work boys, great video, the comfort of home waters
Excellent production! BC truly does offer world class fishing.
If float tube fishing, its important to anchor up also. Need to keep that line tight to the fly. Also move often if no bites. Also be patient, ive had days where I couldn't get a bite and become frustrated, but then later in the day, a bite window opened up and I caught some really nice ones. Thank you for sharing your knowledge 😊
“I think he was able to see the mustache” got me dying😂great video guys I enjoyed it! I’ll be making a trip myself after seeing this
Thanks, see you out there
Brian on your naked set up are you still running a swivel 18-24” above your fly?
Nice work guy, Starlink for the win! How’s your spring, summer adventure plan coming along Brent?
Great show! Thank you

Just watching your video now and thought I'd comment. I've been in that area a couple times a few years back. A friend of mine that was an RCMP had his last posting there. I worked as a musician for 30 years and always booked myself wherever the fish were running. Loved the area and the fishing . I'm glad I found your video and I thank you for the memories !
Thanks for all that you do for the BC Fishing Community 🙏 I’ve watching your videos for many years; you’ve definitely helped a lot of people improve their approach to the sport.
very nice indeed, but oh.. if only the BC Government put as much care and effort into the preservation of this very limited resource as it does into promoting it, or actually showed any actual interest in the resource.. I may actually believe the shiny postcard they're portraying to the European and US clients.. the truth isn't nearly as pretty.
nailed it.
Great fishing. I'm assuming hatchery fish taste as good as wild. They're not really farmed salmon. I'm guessing the rules are to re,-establish a viable population and soon, hopefully, you'll be able to reasonably keep whatever with regulations that manage by size and number. Still great to see. Fish on.
Great video. When was it filmed? What equipment did you use?
We'll be there in early June. Can't wait!
Phew... what a place
great video! thanks for sharing :)
That’s a great office.
Gentleman and a credit to the sport!
Woah! Was this fall 2023? Some great looking fish in that lake then (the 1st lake)... They're growing fast eh?
It was filmed in the Fall of 2022. Before the unfortunate winter kill that particular lake.
@@ExploreFishingBC ah.... makes sense... I was getting hopeful
very nice!
Thank you for this amazing video. Can't wait till ice off!
