Post-Fight Bunny Bonding Session

Turbo and Jelly had a big fight that broke their bond. After we confirmed that Turbo was okay and his wounds were starting to heal, we started rebonding them. They were living in side by side pens, we started off with table bonding. This was their first floor bonding session in this round. 🐰 Shop out waterproof bunny beds, mats, tents and more! www.etsy.com/au/shop/BunsBestLife 🐰 Instagram: ins...

Turbo was depressed after Bunmi passed away so we adopted another bunny from The Rabbit Sanctuary to cheer him up. The good news is, it worked 🥰 We don't know her age but she does have a little dewlap which I expect to disappear since she was spayed just before we adopted her. I'm going to just arbitrarily guess that she's 2 years old to make her the same age as Turbo. I think she's a Britannia...
Bunmi: Not Just A Rabbit

My letter to Bunmi: pChd1JfQLvlt/?hl=en Bunmi had an obstruction and passed away after the surgery. Obstructions are more urgent and serious than gut stasis. If your bunny stops eating suddenly, there's a chance they may have an obstruction and should not be force fed or given motility medication until an obstruction is ruled out with blood tests and x-rays. A bunny with an obstr...

Bunny Bum Wash

Turbo occasionally gets a dirty tail. I think it's a combination of tummy upset lazy grooming. I see him eat cecotropes but I hardly see him groom his bum/tail area like Bunmi does. Or maybe he does it in private when I'm not looking haha. Depending on the severity, I'll either just trim the dirty bits, wipe the area with a damp cloth or wash his tail as shown in this video. The cleanser I use ...

How To Litter Train Your Bunny | Tips, Tricks and Troubleshooting
My bunny looks just like bunmi!!
Did you put them in the same carrier? In the way to bzckyard
I lay my bunny on my lap on his back, he sits still the whole time, i just take a little off since his nails are dark, so he always has longer nails then id like him to have but i cant see the quick so i just cut his nails more often
Thank you ❤
What do they need a hierarchy for when it's just the two of them and there's more than enough food?
thank you this was very helpful for me- mine were separated from stasis too!
Dirty woman no gloves!
u wash urself with gloves?
Hi… I have 2 bunnies just like yours, but they are both males. I’ve had them neutered and trying to bond them. Woody is more aggressive than Buzz, who is very chilled. Any tips? Ty 😊
I honestly like to rewatch this, so relaxing to watch ❤
I let my bunny explore around house hidden treats with cups
Thank you!!! We are going through bonding now, it’s been so bad with fights. We will try your methods! ❤
I'm honestly a little surprised your rabbits actually run on tile! I'd be scared to death! It's so easy to break their backs. Most rabbits will choose not to go on it at all. How did you combat this? I'd love to let ours out more than just on our living space throw carpet with us blocking them in.
Awesome video ❤️
I look at bunnies and say "I want to hug them."
You’re good I love listening to you
the yellow one looks identical to mine
As a bunny owner from Germany I am quite surprised/shocked about this process. To be honest all the steps before you started "stress bonding" are seen as mistakes over here. If you put a fence between them, aggressions can build up and make bonding even harder. It is common knowledge over here that if you wanna bond rabbits (no matter if for the first time or rebonding) you have to put them in a neutral territory which none of them has ever been before. Give neutral hidey houses (e.g. out of cardboard boxes) and several food places. They will start fighting over the rank order. It can look quite brutal as in ripped out fur etc but do not separate them. It is normal for them to chase and bite or mount each other. This process can take from a day up to several weeks. During this time they should stay in that new environment 24/7. Only intervene/separate when absolute necessary and if you do, use something like oven mitts as protection for your hands. It is also normal for them to not be litter trained during that time and even spray urine to mark their territory. When putting them back in their original habitat it is advised to clean all their toys etc with watered down apple cider vinegar to get rid of the smell from before the (re-)bonding and rearrange everything so it seems new to them. I mean no offense I was just so taken aback by this video that I wanted to share this view as well.
Is these bunnies male or female, castrated or no ??
I just found your channel by sheer luck and I'm glad I did. I have a pair of bunnies who just broke their baby bond at 4 months and I was getting nervous about the process to rebond them after they are spayed this coming October/November. They are sisters from the same litter, they can still see each other but they are separated now until after their spay and after healing. Thank you for the educational videos. I am also so sorry to read/watch about the passing of Bunmi and Turbo, they were lucky to have you as their bun mom. I hope the current pair is doing well and hope you and the family are doing well
Not a translate functie on :(
We're so excited to make our bun some fun toy food containers. Aww, these are so adorable 🐰
The grain free natural selective is VERY hard to find and the farm origin's are too and my bun did love them but now runs away from them. Ive wasted so much money trying all the pellets. I now have a 4yr old bun i adopted with a poop issue and need fibre pellets but struggle to find the right one to help cause the ones with "high fibre" still make her have diarrhoea. Stay away from jack rabbit, its a meat rabbit pellet and its why my girl is very overweight
So I love the prototype of this yet, think a grate system litterbox all at the bottom booty box across the bottom with a lid you open up at the top to clean with hay holders built in? Think that would be amazing and small little wheels that lock to move to vacuum as your buns hate you silence judging from a distance? Lol Been driving me nuts trying to figure out a goid booty box grated litterbox enclosed with hay holder that looks great and is functional. Very easy to clean. Maybe strip lights on the inside. Place for proper hay storage and an air purifier seems helpful. Been sorting that out as I have 2 rabbits who throw hay parties 🥳 often treating it as confetti then upset when it's time to vacuum lol Fluffles oh our fun little floofs balls of adorable judgement staring into our souls. Impossible not to love them. Was thinking here "outloud" a removable booty box tray with grate where you have a 2nd that is clean to rotate out. Making it even faster to get their area back together while cleaning the other better... Be interesting to see you try making one. Sure Amazon has a grate system litterbox large for $70 way to do this better safer more custom. That would be a great video 📹
🐰🤨🐰🥺🤗🫲🫱🐰
I really hope this works. My bunnies have been upset with each other for more than a year now. I still remember the days they used to play together and suddenly they just hated each other. Both neutered. Nothing seems to work…
Thank you so much for sharing. I'm so glad Turbo did well with his! My Snoopy has been battling ongoing ear infections and abscesses since he was 2. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with an enlarged heart and another condition aged 1, meaning he could never have GA or major surgery. This is the surgery I wanted for him too. I just wanted to comment to say, if your bun isn't able to have surgery, it's not the end <3 My boy is now 8, I clean his ears every few weeks, we barely need antibiotics anymore. He's been on metacam since aged 2 but he does exceptionally well with ear cleans alone so it's not hopeless. Big commitment and I would have liked a surgical option, my biggest fear was this meant I'd lose him really young. I just wanted to post this in case others are in the same boat - that it doesn't always mean the end <3 xxx
I have 2 bunnies too
Do you live in wales
Thanks for sharing, i am going though this process now after our bonded females broke their bind after 1 was in Hospital with GI Stasis. Seeing that your in NSW, as are we, where did you get that cardboard aeroplane?
Something that helped me was having bundles of dried lavender by the bunnies. It gave them something beautiful and calming to smell while I clipped their nails. To see the quick, I had a head lamp designed for backpackers. Lastly, I had their favorite snack which is fresh sunflower seeds. I did three bunnies in about 20 minutes in my first try.
I’m so so sorry about your bunny ❤❤❤
😢so sorry for your loss ❤.. I love how you said “ it’s not about replacing the furry baby that you have lost , but about giving your fur baby companion that he had lost ❤..” I couldn’t agree more . When one of our pet ratties lost her companion, even though I was heart broken , I couldn’t be heartless to leave the other rattie to go through grieving all alone , since human company can’t really replace the animal one , especially for social creatures like little critters … Thank you for your videos ❤
I wish you'd link to the articles, because there are so many. (Not that I'm complaining there are lots of resources these days!)
Can we use tissues for the yogurt one?
Love this . I have a rescue who isn’t even good with me yet but I think he be better with a mate so I thought I would get another more social rabbit to bond with although I can’t really even pic this rescue up or do anything with not social at all not sure I can keep my rescue because doesn’t like anyone
Super, taking my ideas a step further! Will make them trickier and more rewarding :)
This is super helpful! I'm struggling with an aggressive bun at the minute. Sometimes it's feeling like it'll never happen but fingers crossed. Gotta be more stubborn than my bun 😂
Thank you so much for this video. I have one question, we have 2 bunnies - we just got them 10 days ago, and they are now 10 weeks old. The potty training is not going so well. They do mostly urinate in their litter box. But they tend to poop a ton outside their box. Are they just too young to litter box train?
I am grateful to Bunmi for what she taught me, with your help. What a sweetie she was.
Are they males or a female-male couple?
You are very good you search and learn and just give your own advice you let us decide I will definitely continue watching you ❤😊
I’m in the same situation right now
Mine loved each other instantly, I was super lucky with that
Very beautiful
Are they neutered / spayed ?
i’m so sorry. my rabbit recently passed after cpr while closing after sudden GI stasis and liver lobe torsion surgery, and my rabbit before that got the sniffles and died minutes later. they are more than rabbits and losing them is gut wrenching. it has honestly been so traumatic for me, but the joy of caring for and loving a rabbit will always outweigh the grief. thank you for this beautiful video 🤍
It didn't sound like you spayed or neutered them first. Is that true?
Someone please help me. I have two holland lops that are 6 months old girls and sisters. They have shown no signs of aggression towards each other until one of them starting chasing the other and trying to mount her, but the other runs away. Should I separate them even though they aren’t biting? I’m worried the might get more aggressive when I’m not around and I don’t want either getting hurt
Social engineering is even worse than Social Entrepreneurship
Facing a big vet bill now with one of the rabbits with obstruction 😒 being hospitalized, but wonder if I should get it anyway as they didn’t have any issues except of GI. It says on their PDS that they don’t cover you for anything for about 1 year of owing insurance? Wonder how much do they cover you when something happens, if it’ll be only a small % of the actual vet bill
