Forging spurs from round stock. Our first film so bear with me. Made a few mistakes but thats nothin new! Let’s honor tradition in the arts the Texas way. Thank you for all of the orders over the years and everyone that has helped me on my way. Long live cowboys! Presented by DW Cowhorse Supply #forged

I already drew down the rasp to 3/4x1/4×7" bars before I started the video. Hopefully I get some more practice with my videos where I can teach others how to build forged bits and spurs!
You need a fly press. You could have a gig to set the bend correctly every time
Having a clean shed would be a dream, more videos!!! Given me heaps of ways to improve my spur making
Well done. Great demonstrations. Work done by a true master craftsmen. Thank you!

Where is part 2
That’s awesome part 2 please
What material did you start with? I made a pair of spurs out of old farrier's rasps.
Just watched this after your newest video, love your work! I have been looking for inspiration to get my forge fired up and up-cycle my pile of old rasps. Get the next part out soon!
You've got some skill bro. I'm looking forward to the 2nd video. I'm a bladesmith so I think I'm going to try a set. I have an old set of bull spurs custom made for me. So this should be fun.
i really enjoy watching him work. He seems to be down to earth person. He acts common and not like you are below him like some of the top names
Good work I collect Blanchard spurs gives you appreciation for how much work it is
This is great 👍
I really enjoyed the video…I have a pair of vintage Don Ricardo spurs
If you don’t mind what size of stock and initial dimensions
I'm gonna take a guess of 6 inches of inch and a half round bar but I'd imagine you could probably get away with anything from an inch to two inches and you'd just have to just adjust the length a bit as in you might need 8 inches of inch round and 4 or inches of 2 inch round
Thank you sir that was awesome
Keep up the great work look forward to the next video 😊
Buen trabajo hermano, con esas espuelas y con el freno para caballo con la escofina del otro video. sigan subiendo videos. esperamos segunda parte. saludos desde sonora.mx🖐✌👊
