My approach when making my music is to blend improvisation with prepared loops/patterns, improvising can give unexpected results that I try to run with and advantage of. Of course I only have two arms/hands like most people, so it makes good sense to do hybrid of prepared stuff and improv over the top. Reusing patterns is and loops when blended together and manipulated produce very different results each time. Doing it this way is much more fun, rewarding and enjoyable for me .... maybe you too.

Patching the Labyrinth's sequencer into the DFAM and Swarm for more 'musical' results ?!? Maybe....still on the fence if I like the Labyrinth, there's definitely a lot to like though. #digitakt #tr8s #dfam #dfamthing #lxr02 #rolandt8 #techno #mooglabyrinth

👌🏻 mint!
This sounds great Andrew, fantastic work! FfanitTech
@@FfanitTech cheers! Thanks for listening. Keep on making music my friend
Cool stuff as usual. That 3/4 dfam bounce is nice. 17:30+ funky. 34:00 is ace!!
boooaahh ... nice setup! ... music? Top! 👍
Nice stuff. Favorite passages around 19:00 and 39:00+. I think that SY-1 is great double fun :). Btw do you have some kind of clocking issue? It occasionally goes out of sync.
@@noisevector yeah, clocks going wonky on this one a bit … but kind off extreme shuffle at points that works for me, luck of the draw. But need to track the clock gremlin down…but it recovers too, I kinda like it…keeps you on your toes that jitter . I really enjoyed this long one, laid bare :) peace ✌️
pure goodness!!!
This is really great! What are you running on the iPad and iPhone?
@@AB_ATT iPhone is running end of chain FAC Medusa fredantoncorvest.com/FAC_Medusa.html iPad has loopy pro and various FX that I turn on/off and change presets. So many great cheapish options on iOS 👌🏼
Came to leave, ended up staying the full thing. Very nice!
I don't suppose anyone has manage to make this work on a Digitakt 2 ? I've had no luck so far.
Nice!! Which stand do you use for the synthesizers?
Hey @@homerbailon1 AMS Stands: www.obelisquedesign.co.uk/ams-stands/ams-delta/
Great idea on the colour coded knobs for the T1!
Yeah it helps. Blue is for notes, green how they are played (gate/sustain/timing/velocity etc) and Black original know are for Euclidean or seq. Really helps when learning and using the thing :)
Great stuff Andrew! Very good listen. 21:30 is the winner for me.
@@noisevector 🙏🏼🖤
God bless techno
For sure, god bless you too :)
Yeah!
@@eliaswarg6818 hell yeah! 😄
Nice work! ✨
Thanks Mike!
Excellent, really like this.
@@tailbiterz thanks for listen 🖤
this is banging.🔥🔥
🙏Cheers!
Let's go Techno....
@h-dawg969 aw yeah!!!
Is the higher notes that come in around a minute 3 secs just pitched up drum one shots? & hats the bass type noise in the first minute? (I'm currently in process of bidding on a DFAM so well looking forward to it) ;)
I think at 1m 03s is either Labyrinth and/or DFAM. you 'll love DFAM, people seem to get bored of it, not me :D
Gorgeous Jam mate ;)
What job is the K2 doing in this set up mate?
@@h-dawg969 K2 is controller for various FX & loops on Loopy Pro on iPad
How do you make dfam skip some steps of its sequencer? And what is the device that you use to control dfam steps?
@@chriisuu hi, I use the DFAM Thing: thewessens.net/DFAMThing/DFAMThing.html
@@kryten42 How much was that DFAM Thing thing? I'm in process of bidding on eBay for a DFAM. It's to be my first bit of hardware from MOOG. Should complement my tr8s and boutiques nicely ;) Well looking forward to it. My plan is to use DFAm as a starting point to add modules to as I really want to get into Eurorack. Would a Sequencer module of sort sort be a good addition instead of a thing?
@@h-dawg969 DFAM Thing was about £130 all-in-all, deliver from Aussie to UK. Goes nice with TR8s, you can use the trigger from TR8S to DFAM. Not sure about Eurorack sequencers, I stay away from it personally :) Korg SQ1 is worth a look for use with the DFAM
Excellent stuff, I like all of this.
Cheers, @@tailbiterz thanks for watching 🙏🏼
Love the section at 5mins. Great jam!✨🪐
Cheers Mike!
nice mate, love the pads in intro!! which synth did you use for these pads?
You mean the fizzy/static type sounds ? I’m not sure It’s deliberately Pads, but think that might just be a noise FX with reverb (FAC Punchlab), could also be FRMS synth on iOS.
Fire!!!!!
🔥 🖤
Some nice stuff in there Andrew! Great work.
Nice~
pls check out my recent uploads..cut from similar clothe..
Thanks 😆

Coool! but lil bit quiet sound on the output
@@cosmic4486 yeah, levels a bit wank, bit late now. Still glad I capture it though 🤘🏻🖤👌🏼

Abrupt end... nonetheless enjoyed the essential '90s flavour.
@@DrKunz cheers! Yeah it was as abrupt as can be, but abrupt end == always leave them wanting more 🤩🤘🏻
@@kryten42 Exactly, we want more! 😄 Cheers!
Is that the launchpad pro mk3? Currently trying to talk myself out of that and a torso t1. lol GAS taking over l
It’s a MK2, I actually bought it 2nd hand thinking it’s a MK3 through 🤦🏻♂️
Love the rhythmic disruptions and raw sound. 🤩😃👍
Oh yeah! Cheers and thanks for listening 👍🏻👍🏻🙏🏼🙏🏼
This is excellent. Greetings from Norway.
Thanks for listening 👂
ахуенно🤙
thanks for watching! 🙏
It's really cool but you have to many ideas at once. Less is more. There is a high pitch synth sound that you play almost every bar. play it at the start of every 4th bar and get rid of it when the pass line comes in. If you listen to Basic channel or Surgeon for example it is about the interplay of several elements. Do not be afraid to only use one drum machine and change them out for different sections. Maybe use the lxr2 at the start of the jam and switch to the tr8s when you get into the meat of the track. I have played with just sampling all my machines and using the sounds as samples in the tr8-s because everything acts as a fairly self contained drum buss on it. Other than that you have great sound design ideas.
Hey @NicholasSeamans thank you for taking the time to listen and share your opinions. I certainly agree that less can be more. This was my 1st and only take, it's certainly not perfect or a finished track, but it has enough of something unique enough character. It's always good to be reminded of what makes a good track better, but I'm not one for multitracking and then editing as I don't enjoy that , even if the end result might be objectionably better. Again, thanks for listening.
Sounded fine to me. Keep doing your thing. ✨🪐
Cheer Mate 🙏🏼
Great. These never get old.
Don't mind if I do :)
Some more textures & atmospheres in this one again 👌🏼
LOL
Nice
Cheers fella 🙌🏻
Nice progression and funny ending.
Thanks man!
BIG SHIT
Nice work
Nice one, thanks!
Quien eres?
Me! 😊
Nice session
Cheers mate
How do you sync these up?
I don’t recall exactly tbh, I guess Lxr02 is master clock, sends to swarm via midi, then swarm clk out to DFAM
Ow yess! Great stuff in there!
Nice work as always Andrew
Cheers Stu ✊
Mmm, I started at part 2. This one is also very nice! That dfam controller box looks very versatile.
DFAM Thing is great, gives some nice options on sequencing variations…other options out there too, Korg SQ1 amongst others. What a time to be alive 😃
