Link is in the description. I was using a different HUD from the workshop in this video but recommended the standard one now that it's been updated.

Are you talking about the rFactor 2 in game spotter or Crew Chief? I use Crew Chief and it works very well. I've found the in-game spotter doesn't really help much.

@@hyperdrives Yes, I didnt knew app Crew chief, I had just internal spotter from rF2 and now I have maybe 3 days Crew chief V4 and its best app for Sim racing. I have it with many diferent voices and languages including my language. But now I have another heavy trouble. In Online races I cant still have silver safety because one race I have good ride and another race crashing idiots take me it. So I have still bronze safety. Its frustrating, again and again online race with 3 scraps on three circuits. I want race just and only LMPs, nothing other interesting for me, but in online mode is impossible to have it. So is impossible e-races. Its clear pure torturing, not fun. 😢

I think it was actually around 98%, can't quite remember. Either way, there are some AI "exploits" where you can dive bomb them on certain places around the track in order to make a pass.

Hi, the HUD is one of the default ones, I believe it's called S397 Split HUD Full (something like that). Press 4 to display the top part and 5 to display the bottom part.

After one of the recent updates all of the GT3 setups got redone so I don't think the one I used for this works anymore. The new default ones are a good starting point though.

I dunno if it's the Unreal engine but I also think ACC has a grainy look to it. Maybe enabling FSR is what does that.

Nope, this is stock RF2 graphics. It's not even on high settings. I'd say most of the settings are medium-ish to get the best playable frame rates, but even on lower settings it still looks good.

The grey haze could be RUclips compression, I dunno. When I'm playing the games I don't notice that.

This is AC with Custom Shaders Patch and SOL but I haven't made any significant tweaks to it. Yes, I agree that it does look quite good still, especially for a 10 year old game.

He turned down the gfx systems because if there is one thing AMS2 is great at is the weather system. This comparison is completely biaised because he should have down on defaut settings like Ultra medium and low. In this case the settings are customized.

​@@fan2hd277I wouldn't say I biased the settings to make any game look better. I've got each game setup for the best graphics settings I can get with playable frame rates (at least 60 fps). Actually most of my AMS2 settings are high. But you have a good idea with doing another comparison between the games with different weather conditions.

AMS2 is a great game with best graphics weather system historic content and VR mode! But as a SIM its no way near rF2 AC or iRacing. ACC too me is just weired mainly because of the graphics engine.

Yes, try RF2! It takes a bit of patience to tweak the settings but once you get it all setup it's very good.

@@hyperdrives with a 4080 I can't get ACC to look anywhere near as good as AC or AMS2. I have tried every combination of settings over many hours, and no matter what I do, the blurriness in the distance is so distracting - it's not F1 23 bad by any means, but it's there. In VR: AMS2 --> AC-------->ACC------------------------------>F1 23 On a screen: ACC, AMS2, AC, RFactor

completely biaised toward acc dude. In VR ACC is garbage (RTX4090 here),. Not just because it is not optimized but because there is en embbeded sweet spot to go easy on a GPU i guess that blurs everything too much beyond a certain point. AC with a PHD in game design you can tune it great but out of the Box AMS2 is way better especially if you can crank up the graphics settings. rFactor2 is simply outdated. I'm not talking color accuracy here.

@@fan2hd277 Did you use openxr and opencomposite to run ACC in VR? If you set CAS to 100% in the openxr tool kit, it has one of the sharpest and clear images in VR. I'm on i7 10700k and 4090 with HP G2. Awesome VR experience for me in VR.

Yes this is the latest version and is a definite improvement.

@@hyperdrives I know this is comparing apples to oranges, but in AC I ran the URD "Darche" 992, which is a fantastic car, on the AC mod version of Watkins Glen full course, and then in ACC the Porsche 992 GT3 R (2023) on Watkins Glen International. Pretty much identical lap times, within about 0.1 second. On a good day I can beat them both by about 1 second with the 2023 Ferrari 296 GT3, but the Porsches are easier to drive than the Ferrari.

That's the problem I seem to have with ACC. In order to have playable frame rates, I have to turn on DLSS or FSR, and it looks grainy to me too. I'm guessing that's why Kunos is going with a new engine for AC2.

ACC on epic looks the best just desaturate it down to 70% or so...ACC sound is so so though...

@@zzmadd Sadly I can't run ACC on epic settings. Someday I'll upgrade graphics card if they ever come down in price. I have a GTX 1660 super, which I think is equivalent to what a lot of people have if you look at the Steam hardware charts. I wanted to do this comparison for the average racer on playable frame rate settings.

@@hyperdrives depends on the monitor...a 3060 ti runs an unltrawide 49" with DLSS and some compromises...

AMS2 is my goto but I fucking LOVE the sound of the car's frame lurching in ACC. It's the coolest thing in any of these games, I can't believe all the games don't have this in their GT3 cars.

With the right shader, AC looks great, but not best.

Sure, until Assetto Corsa 2 arrives. Remember Gran Turismo is not a sim, it's just a car collecting game with simcade handles.

It's interesting to look to Gran Turismo to see what we will have in sim racing in a couple of years time.

Sadly, I haven't been willing to pay for an IR subscription...but yes, I could use some more aggression.

@@hyperdrives iRenting pricing model is crazy. I've abandoned my account years ago, after they doubled the price (instead of reducing it in half). There used to be free test builds on week13 (all content, no active subscription), could not find anything about it now.

I haven't found that too be the case with my moza r5 just yet.

@@GaragebuiltOriginal there are plenty of tutorials on how to set up the base for RF2. Btw, I also have the R5.

@@GaragebuiltOriginal I also have the R5 and RF2 has the best feel for me. I think I watched Michi Hoyer's video on setting up the FFB and it works great.

I agree that RF2 is absolute King for FFB & physics. However... I have to say that AMS2's new 1.5 Update is scary close. The AMS2 Formula Junior is an amazing experience to drive.

Yes I agree. I've always thought rfactor 2's anti-aliasing is better than all the other sims (which helps it look more real), but ams2 does have a lot of eye candy.

Tracks make a big difference too. All of the laser scanned tracks that Studio 397 have made over the last few years look really good.

AMS2 is the most consistent. RF2 varies wildly depending on track. I don’t think there is much between them. VR performance a bit better in AMS2.

rF2 looks most natural. I never liked the look of ACC, much too saturated. I think Kunos is also abandoning the Unreal engine for AC2, using an engine of their own again.

@@mikecroshaw5754 Yes, the way RF2 looks definitely depends on the track. The newer laser scanned tracks look amazing compared to the older tracks.

@@hyperdrives Focus on using all of the track, you carry good speed! Dont be scared to send it in order to dial in the limit

Yeah, I dunno if it's my driving technique or just some quirks of the Cayman, but every so often it gets unstable for me under braking.
