I made an overclock of +85 on the core and +450 on the memory. I used MSI Afterburner.

With the overclock temperatures stayed around the low to mid 70's with a cooling pad. Didn't have MSI afterburner running in the background because Doom would sometimes crash if I ran the overlay. But overall temps were really good. This gpu can overclock further but 970hmz is ideal for this card. What kind of laptop are you running? This was on a HP Pavilion dv6 2013 model

@@accursedgaming1272 And how you overclocked gpu ? I have old compal qal51 with i7 3740qm and nvidia gt 650m. I made modification of latest nvidia driver 456.55 and I running doom eternal about 20fps. I want more but it is now on 73°C.

@@martinmeso6039 I used MSI Afterburner to overclock my GPU. I set the frequency up by 135mhz and increased the memory by 1000mhz. The memory increase is what made the biggest difference in performance on the 650m On my laptop. Are you using the gddr5 version? Also that is awesome that you were able to get the latest drivers working. You can try overclocking with MSI Afterburner here www.msi.com/page/afterburner Also when you change the values, I would recommend you to do it a little bit at a time. The max is +135 and the memory max for me was +1000. You can try doing lower values just to make sure the game doesn't crash and to make sure temps don't go to high. These GPU's can run over 80 degrees without problems but I would back off on the overclock when they get that high. As for temps? 73 degrees is actually not too bad and is relatively normal. if you aren't comfortable with those temps you could get a cooling pad. I haven't ran Doom eternal on my laptop. The most demanding game I've played so far was Wolfenstein The New Colossus which ran about 30fps with some things on medium at 720p

@@accursedgaming1272 mine is only ddr3. It's a pity. When I tried to overclock the core by 50MHz but kombustor totaly crashed. With memory, it is the same problem. I can't overclock core or memory. This is weird because when I owerclocked the gt 1030 or rx560 and also the radeon 6570 clockwise, there was never a problem, even the 920m notebook I clocked. Well with 650m I have a problem. DDR3 is much slower than GDDR5 which i looked at the tests. Doom eternal runs 650m quite hard. Especially in scenes where there are many objects in the distance, for example outside. In the future, I can take the test and run doom 2016. Thank you for ideas.

Alex Alexandrov Thanks very much man. You should be able to maintain 30fps or more if you keep the resolution scale around 75 to 80% at 720p same settings. I found out that it is the sweet spot for this GPU.

AbdAllah Salem What software are you using? I used EVGA Precision X OC without any voltage tweaking or mods. If you're running the same GPU, you should be able to hit 970mhz easily. These older kelper based cards are particularly good overclockers. I've seen some people run them at over 1100mhz.

ACcursed GAming I think it is locked in my laptop bios or settings or whatever because i tried different programs and they were all the same. In gpu-z it shows gpu clock 925 MHz and Boost 970 MHz but never reached that boost clock speed before.

MatiK MatiK Set the resolution to 1280 x 720 and turn the resolution scaling down to 50% and you should be able to get up to 30fps minimum with everything turn everything down lowest settings with your GPU. The performance varies quite a bit from level to level even on my laptop which is using mostly low settings as well. With 2gb vram you can turn your texture quality up to medium or high without a big hit on performance. Also thank you very liking the video I appreciate it. Have more on the way.😀🤙
