@Legitimacy88 These fish are most comfortable when they feel they are "hidden" in the floating debris. Another trick is to place "speed bumps" near the edges of the tank. When startled they can often shoot across the tank and smack their snout against the glass. This can cause a great deal of damage and sometimes result in their death. Placing plants around the edges of the tank and in the corners can show them that it's time to slow down before they hit the glass. Best of luck!

Hey there. I've kept these fish before, as well as other similar fish from the same region. You can check out my videos for a shot of one feeding. They are very impressive fish! For anyone else who has come here because they are interested in these fish they are very timid creatures. One thing you can do to help them feel less threatened all the time is to add floating plants/woods (do your research before you add real wood to the tank).
