It has a pre 1966 hood grip handle. Parents had a 65 bought in Germany. I want another one really badly. Took my driver's test in it back in the States. Would have been a great first car for me and Id probably still have it but my dad wrecked it in 69.

Squares are awesome. Other than a double cab T2, a '67 square is very high on my list. Last year before they moved the fuel fill to a door on the body, IRS and 12V stock. A few things I wouldn't have wanted done, like eliminating dash vents, but otherwise a very nice example.

This is to reply on donot go to a dealer unless you don’t mind being ripped that happened to me on October 13 2013at koppel vw dealer wood side queens ny city on northern blvd koppel owns or had several auto dealerships they are all crooked fraud sued by New York State ag lawyer and were in more trouble than they bargained for the 2 volks involved in my purchase are not there since then no way was I surprised they left there newspaper ad was one price my bill of sale was raised from 15990 to 17500 you get an auto loan on your own also insurance they did it all in nine hours same day i never saw the vehicle very wrong until I was to drive it home You are charged twice on auto loan the bank then dealer get more for getting you the loan believe me it was all crooks fraud just to get some fast $$$$$$$$$$ money from me I could say more they over drew my bank account twice monthly using intelli payment service in the Empire State bldingin ny city I would never trust them anymore than to trust a dead cow to buy an automobile they paid out plenty when sued lost plenty how many remember when there were many more businesses honest reliable when I bought my first vw bug at Weiss vw in queens village where everyone was the best from sales very clean shop for service repair body shop service advisors the whole business they sold autos or made sure all was safe so nothing was from there on the road wrong but the nut maybe behind the wheel unsafe if it be this is how I do my self employment work right when worth doing besides my relations with senorita 32years soon or as a costumer at scrap metal dealers honesty is the best or I’d be wasting my time doing this if you donot believe me try it other than honest and get yourself in trouble I even work well with the police so as I donot get arrested for stealing things to earn money we donot make money the polize and I work together to help each other in our sick society of today’s world USA country crooked government we have much too much of what is next ny state California ny city where else is going to hell falling apart who can afford where to live homeless guns need I say more will anyone be left on earth we are all gods creations who need more respect for who is who not what we are I could care less black pink white short tall bank president scrap metal collector trash men dr lawyer all jobs lives matter so what if country of origin or religion what I don’t aprove of I just never let it bother me have a nice day if you can unles you are shot by some loco nut or stabbed drunk driver our biggest problem is our USA government and not punishment properly done for crimes thank you

I had a '68 and really hated to sell that car but a wife and family with young kids and no money ????? I also had a "68 Chevelle SS with a 283 at the time and had to sell it too. It was a hell of a time is all I can say.
