This recording comes from the late 70's and the early 80's, it's actually 2 records in one on the Shanachie record label and features fiddle player James Kelly from the well-known Kelly family, originally Capel Street, Dublin with Clare connections. Accordion player Paddy O'Brien is originally from Castlebarnagh, Co. Offaly, now living in Minnesota, USA. He received Ireland's TG4 Gradam Ceol award for Irish Traditional Composer of the Year 2012. Ed Reavy was an Irish-American fiddle player and composer of Irish traditional music. He was born in Knappagh, Co. Cavan in 1897 and died in 1988. Seán McGuire and Brian McCollum had just released a vinyl album called ''The Gallery'' and visited the radio centre for a chat with Aine about the album and general views on the traditional Irish music scene.
