I just want to point out that Harken says that you shall not put greas on the small rollers only on the big cogs, there are at least to different info video clips here on youtube, in one they say that you can put a drop of oil on them instead and in the other they say that you shall not out anything on.

Better than others but but of emphasis on de-powering the sail. For example what I really want to know is how to reef when downwind sailing and its too rough to turn and head into wind. Obviously at this point it's a bit late to reef but a common problem. Reefing under (sail) power is difficult and not advised but sometimes necessary. So how's it done ?

The RYA definition says that this is in actual fact a stern spring . It is named after what it does rather than where it is , the line from the bow to shore springs the stern out

Good point about an extra line to hold the reefing line to the boom.

The hatch should have been closed. Crew on the cockpit roof could have fallen down the companionway.

Glad to be the first comment! One of the better reef vids on the Tube. Right up there with old Skip Novak's. So many out there with sh*& safety, bad video or no real demonstration.
