I need to see what you do with this CC02. I get great joy out of pushing a platform to do things it isn't intended to do. I made a TT02 crawler, lol. It couldn't do a ton but it was fun.
I have some plans for it. And it will appear again on the channel

I am not sure why Axial ever shipped these with 35t motors, so I had to overpower it a bit lol.
Nice Solo, enjoyed watching you give the CC02 a workout, what is great is no matter the rig your filming is great and I enjoy listening to you narrate your RC adventure. i need to get better at that i always never talk just film. Thanks for sharing Jake.
I find it easier to talk when I am alone, I am not distracted by others and trying to keep an eye on the kids. The hard thing for me is driving with one hand, I haven't found a good way to keep the camera on the truck while allowing me to drive with two hands. I think you should give it a shot, your good at explaining things when you do unboxings and showing off your crawler course.
Love the rig, geat looking build Jake, still not decided on getting one, I still have the MST CFX-W J45C kit that is still sealed and its along the same lines without all the extras from Vanquish and i hav really leaned more toward the small tire RC4WD rigs these days. Looks as it handled all that you put in front of it, the copperhead is performing awesome. Great video again look forward to more from you with what lest this summer.
Thank you, I have since that MST its a very nice truck. I was actually just looking at some smaller tire rigs, I have my eye on the marlin, also liking the looks of the element knight runner and the MST j4. The copperhead is a very nice unit lots of control and options.
Loved my one time camping at Charleston lake when i was statined in Ontario, Never had a trail truck back them still 1.8 nitro racing, but we did all the trails and yes they were nasty but awesome for the rigs. great video !!
Charleston Lake is a great place to camp and hit some trails. If you ever find yourself back here its a must for sure.

How do you swipe left on RUclips ?? Bomber has everything I dislike.. Chopped Body, Open wheel design and SPEED! Needs a Sticker : Caution Frequently Rolling Over ! Great Vid apart from all that lol !
lol. The funny part is the bomber is one of the more "scale" rigs I have. The real version goes fast and rolls over too. Just google king of the hammers. I know it pains you but thanks for watching anyways.

Stumpy needs a 45T Brushed motor (Rebuildable is advised) . I use a 55T in my CC-01 but that is because the gearing is so high.. Seeing what your putting Stumpy through and the way you drive.. a 45T would be right where I would go.. The Torque a 45T Brushed would offer would keep the temps down. You can get a 540 can clip on heatsink if your going to put another Silver can into it.. I would NOT go brushless with Stumpy...
Stumpy will never go brushless and no more silver can. I have talked with a few others and I hear a lot of the same the silver can doesn't like to slow crawl. I have been looking at a few 55T also need to stop driving one handed and use my tripod more.

I prefer Stumpy lol.. Might need to raise the body up a bit more to stop the tyres clipping on full compression. The Paint Job looks great.. Just not a fan of the Body. I am not keen on anything that has chopped body. I like the more enclosed wheel look and full bed on a truck.
LOL I had a feeling you were going to say that. The Phoenix body is on a hinge so no body posts, I don't believe it can be raised haven't looked into that . I haven't stiffed up the shocks yet, it was kind of a last minute decision to take it. Still on the fence with the tires they my change down the road. Once I get the driver finished for this rig I get the feeling your going to have a chuckle.

I Think Stumpy needs softer foam and a better tyre... that tyre looks like its good for mud.. not so much for rocks and trails. I would also look at going a semi- droop setup.. Like a 10mm longer shock with the same spring you have in it now for the ride height.. It just needs to allow the tyre to drop down further.. Stumpy did pretty good.. Just needs a few more suspension mods and go easier on the throttle to avoid those space cadet moments..
Hmm I will agree with you on the shocks but the tires and foams no. The foams inside are called extreme soft you will see in the next video with the cc-02. The biggest issue is ground clearance, and the silver can motor which explains the throttle. The truck would either get hooked up or beached. In the next video I burn up the Tamiya motor doing a slow crawl.
Oh and the tires are good for mud. But perform amazing on rocks when I ran them on the ECX barrage
@@TrailCritterRC I think the ECX weighted more.. allowing the side walls to flex out.. on the CC-02 they seem too firm..
@@magnatfiedrc9039 actually the cc-02 has more weight. The ECX has a 380 motor smaller transmission thinner shocks

Not the Best Analogy.. You can take a RAV4 the same places you can take a Jeep.. The difference is.. the RAV4 will get you home. They are a capable little truck both the CC-01 and CC-02 will go the same places as a TRX-4.. You just have to track build, Find different lines and install a winch! Trail Critter, You do not have to explain. Some times we all go on Hiatus. I have packed all my RC trail rigs into storage for the time being as the weather is not being co-operative. I AM not being *Co-perative* and the fact that my trail areas have now become Reservations so I can no longer go to them any more. but.. I will be coming back to RC.. Just not in the way people will expect.
Lol, I was more referring to off-roading with the RAV4 and Jeep, but I do agree. I am not doubting they are capable, but going the same places to me is going the same line. I have gone places where I have bottomed out a TRX4 not knocking the CC-02 but there is no way it will go the same place. Bummer about your trail area that sucks. But I do look forward to seeing your videos again.
