The 6 Six and Violence live at Stony Brook 1983 NYHC
Просмотров 1,7 тыс.8 лет назад
The Six and Violence playing live at Stony Brook. Pretty sure this is around 1983. If you were there and recognize yourself, give us some more details. Even though I filmed this, I don't really remember anything. I know they are joined on stage by Brian from the Suburban Defects. I found a DVDr with three songs from that day. The others are the False Prophets. Don't think I have the tape of the...

Thanks Mr Vlad. Now I remember my Romanian born college roommate. He was a wake and bake pothead.I nicknamed him "Vlad The Inhaler" and it stuck. He's now a pediatrician.
I remember these guys! I'm trying to remember who I saw them play with, pretty sure it was Norman Bates and the Showerheads
They evolved into 'Bula Matari' for about 10 years, and 'Key Wile & Mr Clarke' for the last 35 years.
Looks like George Tabb on guitar therefore i think this show is more likely 1985-86...
Most people will never know just how great the Bristol scene was! Believe me, It Was The Best
Vocal is Nancy Raygun❓
Looks more like The 5 and Violence!
Hey Vlad wt up.we are all defects

I have the og demo of them
I want to buy every second of this show on whatever format. I used to love watching this in nyc but stupidly never thought to record it

But what was the name of the song?
Arghhhb Great show R n R
Je suis fan de ce groupe depuis le début ..
Vlad! How are you my friend? The song is called “Roy Lichtenstein“ which, ironically, was on the Furious George album 13 years later! It was also performed by my second band, “Atoms for Peace“. Hope you are well!
Brilliant but hilarious 😘
Who(Band) did this version of "Giddy Up A Ding Dong" at 2:14 ?
What ever happened to Boring Sponge? They were great,
@mutantrob: Ralph here (bass). We all went our separate ways after graduating from Stony Brook. Rick (vocals and guitar) went on to other projects, the most notable of which was a kid's music band called Key Wilde and Mr. Clarke (videos and songs from which you can find on RUclips). They released a few CDs and I played with them for a few years. He's still making music and I'm learning six-string bass (i.e., guitar).
Name of the Insomniacs song?

I think this is more like 1985. I played in a band with Dave Miranda the drummer in 1985 for Bayside High School Battle of the Bands (Dave didn't go to Bayside) and S&V was Dave's main project. Met Kurt several times - very nice guy who could light up a room. Dave was the best drummer for 100 miles.
10 years later and I still think he says that one dickhead.
That's what I always heard. Supposedly it's "platform ticket" but I'll never believe it.
awesome! i really enjoyed this band's first demo tape Lettuce Prey...it was really special. we used to drink beer and listen to it and laugh our a**es off. Pure genius.
These gals rock...I have one of their Xmas 45s.
One of my life’s regrets is that I was never able to purchase a “Ghoul A-Go-Go” t-shirt. They were sold out by the time I found their website, many years ago.
They performed in Doornroosje, Nijmegen, the Netherlands, I think 1987 or 1989. Fantastic gig, put a birdcage over someones head with Destructive Engagement song. That was briljant. Love this band, Implosion is such an epic album
sophisticated hula!! it's the talk of the town!!
1:58 is the greatest laugh in musical history!! we miss you Hasil...
Now this is a good video

What re your favourite versions?
I subscribed to their fan club for my roommate years back, the only thing I got was a slightly smaller bank account.
Not familiar with the cover but been a Templar fanatic for a lot of years... still got some early records from these guys in my collection...
I..... I'll get back to you in 25 years. Oink.
got turned on to this band when I was in high school in Arkansas
...was not at this show, but remember this line up well, along with all the other line ups from 1982 till say 1991 or so, as I loved the False Prophets and caught as many shows in NYC as I possibly could. Even to this day, nobody got it like the False Prophets did, as they totally lived it.
wow.just WOW....
Como mola
the most unlikely garrage band one could possibly imagine......I love'em!
