I have the exact same machine I welded grouser bars on my tracks it really helped
I live in pikeville ky
Why no hard hat? Waiting to get killed. Not smart
Great video, keep them coming!!
Cutting a large tree is one part of the story to me, getting it to the saw mill is the second part of the story very labor intensive !
sold it went to kentucky glad to see someone wanted it
evidently OSHA does not have an office close by. in Oregon would have been fined heavily for the violations.
I’m surprised there aren’t a few converted coal buckets
Great video, thanks for posting. Quick question: why don't you southern fellas run tire chains on your skidder? Everyone in the northeast runs chains on their skidders. I've heard them say they gain traction and protect the tires from stumps and slash. Stay safe out there, my friend.
Awesome video. Real people doing real things.
Looks like white oak. Fun video, thanks!
I'm a Logger in Michigan.the guy cutting the trees down should stop he don't know what he's doing he should use directional boar cutting method.ya he should get a bigger saw up here we use 395xp and 390xp
tHE 30TH WAS MY 50TH BIRTHDAY....WOW
Believe it or not we still sell parts.
Looks like regular southern logging operation.people that know what there doing and how to get the job done.seen it myself done it myself as did m y father and grandfather for over 6o yrs
Nice payday there! 💰💰💰
Thanks for sharing hop on by my channel some time
She's a beauty! Nice rig.
At least it's dry!
safety gear???? state would shut him down
That was a fine load of logs. Are y'all still running?
I have one too. My father was killed behind it in 1964 his bother would never use it again and would not sell it either
nice logs
Send me some video's
Is that a 460 chainsaw?
where about in Kentucky are you?
love your safety equipment and the way you clean your work area before felling.
nice low overhead operation sir!
No uploads for a while, what's happening Mr Wilson? I enjoy your vids, love to see some more, remind me of how much I loved working in the wood. No cleats on the crawler tracks?, makes life more difficult. Hope all's well in Kentucky.
Enjoyed the video.. Reminds me of when my dad and I used to do these kinds of things together
So how do you pick the trees out to be cut? Do you have a forester, some sort of management plan, or is it just done by size?
all of the above.....thanks
awesome video, awesome little machine too, thanks and keep up the good work, and to all the youtube safety warrriors out there, stay on your keyboards and outa the woods
ALL VENEER AND GRADE IS CUT AS LOW AS POSSIBLE, AT GROUND LEVEL. YOU JUST LOST 200 bucks
+james ranger just for your info..cattle has ran in these woods that makes mineral cant sell minerals ...just made a few bucks
+john wayne thanks for the comment.......
maybe. but if you are in the know then you would know that those butts dont roll veneer off very well. if you cut above the main swell you can get a premium price for your logs. happy logger happy landowner.
your a dumbass, always think you know everything just from a short youtube video lol
YOU NEVER EVER,EVER CUT A TREE DOWN INTO OTHER STANDING TREES
+james ranger been doin this for thirty years....thanks for the comment...
read joe wilsons reply.

Demora tanto tempo a cortar os pinhsiros

No hearing protection, eye protection, leg protection, head protection and it looks like he is wearing soft toed cross trainers on his feet. Cuts his wedge mouth upside down, starts his main cut by sawing away the corner hinge, the stump shows no hinge left in place, overloaded truck and trailer with just 3 straps! Yep. Real safe operation operation there Billy Bob!
Rain Coast let me guess you cut pine.? or have you?
+Rain Coast How do you know it was overloaded ??????????????????????????????
+soaringtractor thanks always somebody got to push...
correct....common sense goes a long way...thanks
And that sloping back cut seems logical but it has been proven to be less safe and less efficient. This guy has been doing things his way and got away with it so long he thinks he's Paul Bunyan. I hope no body copies him.
One of my favorite old KW's, you should cut those log bunks off and put a 5th wheel back on, make her really work, those little bunks on that much truck is like a mosquito on a rhino
If you don't mind me asking, how much is a load of logs worth at the mill like you had at the end of the video?
hey is that a international power unit? my boss has one that starts on gas and switches to diesel like yours
thanks for watching...............yes it is a ud 6 international....just a little short on hp for a saw mill.............looking for a 453 Detroit.

sometimes you just gotta do whatcha gotta do...
good job, guys, enjoy your music !
