Have you ever seen a "SHED" get delivered via helicopter? I was so stoked to be there and film this! The client owns property on an island on Lake Pend Orielle. The Shed Center had Timberline Helicopter's fly the shed out there to avoid all the hassle of scheduling a barge and carrying all the material and equipment up the hill to the location theshedcenter.com www.timberlinehelicopters.com/

This is a random review of the DJI AIR 2s From a mountain runner and hiking enthusiasts' perspective. I Focus primarily on the active track 4.0. The active track 4.0, aside from the 20-megapixel camera with a 1inch sensor was what caught my attn. I love to run and hike in the mountains and non of the other drones could effectively follow me without losing me in the trees or the slightest obstac...

There wasn’t near as much snow as I expected and it was very icy. I fell a lot and had walk a lot instead ski🙄 2.5-3 hours of cardio that I usually do on a treadmill or stair-master didn't sound as appealing as it normally did. North Idaho, Fall to Winter. Mountain roads and crashing drone.
Просмотров 5985 лет назад
Fall of 2019, the colors were so vivid and vibrant. Here is an assembly of different video clips I was able to capture as me and bro traversed boundary county capturing as much of fall as possible. There was an instance where I was filming us via the drone and I ended up hitting a tree. My Mavic air took a tumble but only fell about 3’ before catching and writing itself and I was able to contin...
How much does a helicopter delivery cost in north Idaho?
That are mavic air2? or mavic air2s?
Hi there, this is the Mavic air 2s
Awesome video, Andrew!
Not many air S2 videos online. Feel like I've sift through them all since I got the drone. Do you still use this drone to this day? Shame you left out your pov of the drone going through the branches at the end, kinda disappointed but love the video man.
Totaly awesome, i was scared to try it like you did.... i must try it.... yesssss thanks buddy
4:35 *FIFY:* Nothing beats a little feeling of giardia. 🤢
I just subscribed to your channel. I’ve not had much luck out of mine. I’ve got both of them. Keep up the good work.
thanks Charles. I am curious about not having luck?
u guys r too brave... I ain't flying my drone through that lol 😂 😂
Drone was like "FML dude pls..." 🤣
That is a very difficult environment for that quad. You should check out the Skydio 2. Way better active track and obstacle avoidance. I think it would better suit this kind of environment.
Jaja porque le tienes bronca a dji?
@@juanmaria5377 Facts are facts I own this drone and fly it commercially. I would not risk flying it in a high risk environment such as this. Have you not seen other reviews on this drone's tracking. The tracking is pretty good on it, but Skydio tracking is by far superior. Please do your research.
I have an an DJI Air 2s... but it certainly would not be able to do what you show in this video... the one I have would be on the ground, upside-down, crashed and ruined within the first minute! I must have gotten a faulty Air 2s!
That last one was pure luck😅
hahaha dude... how do you only have 200 subscribers? Great video! I just got my Air 2S today and seeing this test is awesome... gives me more confidence that I'm not going to blow the thing apart. :D
Thanks 🙏 I am confident you won’t be disappointed in the drone! I have been careless and crashed it but these drones are almost bullet proof. Not only that, they are super easy to fly
What all are you planning on using yours for?
@@AndrewBrubaker So we have a pond behind our house with a lot of wildlife... geese, herons, beavers, turtles, etc. I'm hoping I can get some more close-up wildlife type videos and photos with it. So far, I've used it a bunch for hyperlapse sunsets and things... it's amazing. I think I waited so long on a drone because they seemed more like RC toys to me... this is more of a DSLR camera you can fly, which is right up my alley. Anyway, thanks again for the vid. Great content here.
Cool thing dude
Thanks man! Do you have a drone?
@@AndrewBrubaker yes same type but hv not used that feature..
Thanks for testing, I simply don't trust O.A. with anything other than simple object avoidance. I don't know that this is the drone for this type of "work". DJI probably hates these videos because it works "some of the time"... which isn't good enuf. At the end of the day, choosing the right drone for the right job gives the best results. Cheers.
I agree with you! It works pretty and Is in-expensive. I Have crashed it several times but it’s a tough little machine. Like you said it works some of the time there are so many variables like lighting and color that make such a huge difference. I would never take an expensive drone in situations like this
What drone do you have?
All drone crash movies are made when the trees are leafless.
I heard it is speculated that it came out in early 2023
What is coming out in 2023?
@@AndrewBrubaker mavic air 3s
Can anyone estimate when the mavic air 3s came out and what its price will be including the combo kit
Wow 🤩 At first I was like..nahh c’mon mate, be realistic with your expectations ..that trail with all those little branches is asking that drone to crash. BUT like you, seeing what it did on that last cluster fu** fallen tree is like…WHAAT? Seriously 😳🤩🤩🤩 I can’t wait to get mine, it’s going to be my first Drone ( wanted one since the release of the DJI Phantom 2 🥴) but could never be satisfied with a lot of what they do for the money I had to pay. Now finally with the Air 2S I bit the bullet and decided to buy this little gem 💎 of aDrone, definitely worth waiting all these years to finally get exactly what I always wanted in a Drone. I am in awe and can’t wait for it to arrive. Great video, well done and congratulations 🎉🍾🎊. What a little beauty 🤩🥰😍🤩🥳
My Mavic Air 2 makes very poor choices with APASS and ACTIVE TRACK so I won't even use those unless in very open area as it is too stressful lol
Sir please share the download link of the software
Hi, a little late here but I use Adobe premier pro
Sir, what software do you do for video editing?
On user's manual says to keep it away from branches.
For some reason I always want to do what I am not supposed to do. It’s a weakness I have
it was funny with the original location)))
bravo pour avoir eu le courage de faire ce teste
Great video. Thanks for sharing. Glad you had prop strikes without damage. I did the same thing on my new M3 and two minor prop strikes followed by hitting those leafless tree branches and a full crash with $350 in damage and a loss of the drone for a month. I keep thinking about the difference between and i think the fact. You were i a sunny helped. Leafless grey branches on a hazy day prob didn’t help. Glad your experience was better. Thanks again for sharing.
What is refresh insurance mean please advise me
Free trimming. 🤣
Hahaha. The forest service will thank me for all my hard work 😂
Tree trimmer! =]
looks like the right front prop had some damage. it began to drift a little to the right after it clipped the first tree. Otherwise this was impressive.
I am not sure why it drifted? I still haven't changed the props on it and they don't have any nicks in them. I still watch this and I am impressed. I was fully prepared to lose it! I had insurance on it :)
Nice video. Like the quality. And of course you have a new subscriber. Greetings from Greece. 💯💯💯👌👍
Thanks so much and so stoked you liked it. I will have more content coming soon. Thanks for subscribing and for your support.
To be following the 4WD along the road I would guess that he has it in Sport mode. Active Track does not function; his evasion of the branches was more down to pure beginner's luck!
Hmm, my active track does have the specific function of following a vehicle and it is very effective.
I'm loving mine too, I just got it last week. I don't have the trust in it that you have, but I'll get there.
Hey! thanks for subscribing. I have insurance on it so that helped a little:)
Really Amazing! when i use active track with my Air 2s i was really scared it could crash into somethings!
What all do you use your active track for?
How about using propeller protectors for the Air 2S in scenarios like this? I bought them and they weight in total 74g. The Air 2S + battery weights 590g, with the protectors 664g. Is that too much extra weight?
No it’s not to weight. The only reason I don’t put them on is time. I try and minimize the amount time when I stop on a run.😏 propeller guards I am confident would help! Do you have the Air2s as well?
What about the skydio 2 ? Have you done a review?
I don’t have the Skydio 2. I am currently looking at getting it, but can’t quite afford it yet.
Can it do the active tracking at 4k 60 fps?
Hey, sorry about the late response. I don't think it can. I will make sure when I fly it this afternoon. I have seen it say when trying to shoot in 5.4k and try to use active track "cannot engage in high frame rate"
I find it interesting to see how well that thing does where you live. I tried the same sort of thing on a forest road along a mountain ridge here in the east. On the first test, I walked along the road. It clipped branches several times until one of them upset it enough to send it tumbling. On the next test, I tried to get it to follow my Jeep. It complained that my altitude was too low, but the only way to give it more altitude would have been to fly it above the canopy. I tried that in a few different places, and never got it to follow the Jeep within the forest. If it can't follow a Jeep on a dirt road, there's no way it could track me on a foot path. We definitely have a different variety of trees around here. Yours seem more columnar, and probably taller. The trees along those ridges are surprisingly short, and gnarly. It looks like my dreams of follow me videos are out the window, and I will have to have a driver or a pilot to get the kind of footage I want. I can't do much about my location. It would probably do better down at a lower elevation, where the trees tend to be dramatically taller, but that isn't where the Jeep trails are. Anyway, it would have to go a lot farther than it has to get me to trust the obstacle-avoidance. It never crashed hard, but it definitely crashed. In the course of running nine batteries through, I installed four sets of propellers before finally breaking off one of the arms. That one was my fault. Mr. Hotshot here went to sport mode to zoom around at 45 mph where there was only one thing to hit, and I hit it at 45 mph. Wish I had bought the insurance!
I have had really good luck with it following me in my jeep. I am interested why its not working for you? I noticed different times if there isn't much contrast in color between the subject you want to track and the surrounding area it looses track of the subject easily. What color is your jeep?
It's "sarge green," which is a similar color to yours. The issue isn't with detecting the Jeep as something it can track, the issue is altitude. When I try to set it up to follow the Jeep in the location where I want to track myself, it refuses to engage, and demands that I fly to a higher altitude. That is not an option in this location. My choices for altitude are something like 8' and 30', with nothing in between.
@@thedroningjeeper4750 Ugh...I get it. That is really frustrating. I seen that when I first tried but in my area it was easy to get higher and still have space for it to maneuver.
Skydio 2
@@verdi6092 that Drone is apparently better at tracking but the DJI is better at everything else. Tough choice 🤔🥴
Awesome! I love my mini 2, but the Air 2s image quality is just superb!
I dont have the Mini 2 but I do love my Air 2s. How is the Mini 2 for backpacking and hiking?
I've got the original mini which I love I just got the air2s and it is so impressive I'm still getting used to it, there is so much more than the mini Active track was my main reason for the purchase, but I'm loving spotlight mode too
Buying it this week because of this video
Awesome and glad you like this video! do you currently have a drone?
@@AndrewBrubaker I do. I have a parrot bebop 2 which I accidentally ran into a tree and broke an arm. I really like it because it can fly really fast and slow in video mode, but can’t do much with the 1080p camera
@@deftns6969 Ah You will love the 5.4k resolution from the Air2s! And it does really well with obstacle avoidance.
@@AndrewBrubaker ya I’m pretty stoked to get out there with it. When you fly it manually does it still avoid obstacles?
great wtatching
Thanks for this video. We're looking into a drone for trailrunning and it really helps to see the DJI Air 2S in a real life situation like this 👍
Awesome, Glad you liked and found it helpful.
Great vid! Awesome when it dove through that small opening on the downhill run. Hovered there for a second planning it's next move and said screw it and just blasted through. Impressive stuff. Do you ever come across any bear or big cats on your runs?
Very rare! It has happened 3 different times:) ya, the active track 4.0 is pretty good. I don’t normally take it spaces that tight but I wanted to get a feel of it’s limitations 👌 it passed the test
Can you please compare it to skydio 2?
I really Want to! Pretty sure the Skydio 2 would be awesome for trail running etc. As soon as i can afford one i will
Watching a drone avoid obstacles on it's own is so satisfying, not sure why.
Haha, I couldnt agree more. I was so impressed with how well it did. The way it sees and avoids objects is fun to watch. Do you have a drone?
@@AndrewBrubaker For now just a cheap Mavic mini clone, but I am looking into the Air 2s
Edit: I just got mine! The fans are so loud that they worry me a little but otherwise I can’t wait to fly it for the first time!
Love the drone shots!
Thanks Marques!! The new Air 2s is👌
That is so awesome!!
Thanks, this was such a good day!!
And I feel cool when we bring in a crane to set trusses. #buildergoals
Well hey, let’s level up and set trusses via helicopter, and I wanna come film!! What type of construction do you do?
From what I saw online, the new software/firmware is even better at tracking. What I see here is impressive as it is and, really, this whole thing is pushing it with these kinds of tiny branches. We often catch branches like that with our face because we always miss a few so expecting a smart drone to navigate them all is really unrealistic
I agree with you, I was impressed with how well it did. The reason I did that was some of the places I go are right are in more technical terrain and I wanted to know what the limits were. I was primarily seeing how well it would track around switchbacks and trees etc.
@@AndrewBrubaker great test, would have done exactly the same to find it’s limitations but seeing how it performs was just awesome 😎. Thanks for sharing
@@AussieAdventurer Glad you enjoyed it. do you have a drone or fly one?
@@AndrewBrubaker I have the Air2s on order, hence why I try to watch and learn 😃 I always wanted a Drone since the release of the Phantom 2 way back when but nothing was compact enough or had the features I wanted or needed. Once the Air 2 s came on the market it was in my opinion the best bang for the money and decided to finally get one. So judging from what I see in your video and others it sure seems to be a great drone alright 🤩 Unfortunately with the upcoming release of the Mavic Mini 3 Pro I am unsure if I jumped the gun to soon? A Drone such as the Mini is perfect in size for me and it’s possible it will be close to what the Air2s can do with the active track and seems to have similar obstacle avoidance sensors ( or better??) Naturally the camera will be not as goid as on the Air 2s but still, i reckon it will be a great little Drone to own for any hobby user and perhaps a semi pro user 🤷♂️. Well, you can’t wait forever for a gadget to be what you want or you never buy anything 😂😂 so yes I am sure I will be happy with the Air2s regardless- with no regrets I imagine. It’s the active track and obstacle avoidance I really want and so this video of yours has given me peace of mind knowing I can safely use it for my own RUclips videos when out and about prospecting for gold in the Western Australian Outback or whatever else I go. So again thanks heaps and btw, i had no idea about the hyper lapse mode the Air2s has, that is awesome 🤩m have you tried that function yet? Fly safe and enjoy life 👍 Cheers 🍻 Jim
@@AussieAdventurer One thing that really helps the active track is wearing bright colors or something that really contrasts with your environment...something easy for the camera to track. 2nd thing is, I have made some stupid/daring flight maneuvers and crashed it pretty hard, flying into things and I haven't broken one piece on it and the props are still the originals! the mini is cool but I am confident the Air2s will make happy!!
