Ryan Townsend
Добавлен 22 фев 2008
I established this thinger so my parents could see me perform things in Pittsburgh. I'm a vocal performance major at Carnegie Mellon University. And I guess that's really it! I probably won't upload a lot of things up here, but if you feel compelled to make a comment on something, please do!
I sing lots of classical music and lots of musical theatre stuff as well. Sometimes I'll sing a bit of pop or jazz, but I mainly stick with classical and theatre!
Much love and thanks to Ashley Batten for being wonderful and helping me with all this crazy technology!

Verygood!!! 잘 듣고 갑니다
Why didn't I know this was here?
STAR of the show.
Haha. Loved it.
Pay attention to those dynamics :D I'd like to hear this again with some more polish. Good start! I love this aria.
@horsecrazy8593 Also, the shakiness may have been a result of the highly charged emotional atmosphere of the performance Just sayin'.
@mkhb2b I disagree with you ... they were do not have a backing chorus as it should be in the original so they remarkably well
@Honken Oh shoot! I must have had Verdi on my mind when I wrote this! Of course I know this is written by Leoncavallo! Super embarrassed. Thanks for the comments!
The opera was written by Ruggiero Leoncavallo, not Verdi. Nice performance, though it might be a bit early to sing repertoire of this caliber. Keep at it! :)
my favorite boy singing my favorite song. love you ryanp!!!! xx
I'm dying ...
this group has some potential, they just need to work on uniformity and pitch and rhythm and memorization and balance and vowels. I like how the end "we'll be fine" is all together and the large cresendo at the end though.
@RocktheStageNYC it's a parody of Broadway song from Avenue Q. There is going to be Broadway tone.
Thank you so much, very appreciated! :)
Wow, i didn't expect anything half as good as what i found. Your tone is absolutely beautiful. Gorgeous vibrato but not too heavy.
love your voice! Great job!!
@NovaT1981 Firstly, thank you for your kind words reflecting our talent. It is greatly appreciated. As for the laughing, yes I suppose it's a bit distracting but what's going on at this event is the Voice Majors Class of 2010 are giving their final performance together and this is our last song. Nearly everyone on stage and in the audience was crying and laughing to celebrate our accomplishments and our mutual love. We, the singers in the video, are not offended by the laughing, it's all good
what was that ending all about?
This is excellent guys. It really picks up after the solos when you all sing together. As shaky as some of the solo work is in spots, the voices are excellent, and it's very solid when you sing together. Your harmonies are well-done and the blending is excellent. Good work!
You are too damn talented for your own good. <3 you and miss you!
I have already watched this far too many times...
Damn, we sound good together! <3 you and miss you all!
perfect vocals and nice staging but acting could have been a weeeeeee bit more energetic
he's a good singer but that "Broadway" tone and vibrato really just drive me nuts.
lol i'm really bad at solfege too. i hate that stuff. why do i need to know it if i have perfect pitch?
wow! I felt uncomfortable all through the song. I thought any minute now hes gonna mess it up. but you pulled through. not bad!
Sometimes, I'm just really really proud to know you.
FIERCE! take that diva hand!
I just think it needs to be said that YOU TORE THAT UP!!! TAKE IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT! <3
I love this aria! "I cannot offer you eternal love, for we have learned today, such words are lies...."
nice voice! check a few of your notes..... The aria seems to fit well in your voice, just make sure you sing all the right pitches. It is easy to fake Barber.
Those first two ladies are awesome!
sad faces. Someday!
I miss singing with you. A just YOU.
thanks!
This is cute and clever.
WOW!!!! =] amazing for only that small group AMAZING!
guy had a good voice but i dont like it. im more of a smoot voiced guy. the girl was pretty good especially for this song. the girl is meant to be a little stronger and she has avery pure voice
Beautiful!!
aw thanks Olivia!!!!!
I love Michael Buble....but ryan's better!! :-)
beautiful, thanks for uploading this!
I think you should come to New York after you graduate. Broadway keeps recycling the old guys, LOL.
I really enjoyed this! You have really nice open vowels. Nice job on the last note, hehe.
You guys are wonderful together!!! Yeah, that moment when you turn toward each other was great, hehe.
God, I hated playing that awful piano. Still the highlight of my evening though! :)
OMG the girl who is hitting the high C's is AWESOME....reminds me of a girl from our choir!!!
What a kiss! Oooooh! Ry, you sound WONDERFUL!
3:39 is absolutely insane regarding how in sync we are...we couldn't have planned it better even if we choreographed it.
Oops, just like to say that 'melon' was meant to be no pun on the university name.
