My best friend passed away recently. I haven't been able to work or socialize since. I've was told by a psychiatrist that I have "Adjustment disorder" A couple days ago a neighbor moved out and abandoned their cat.( who was locked in a room in the apartment. No AC. it was so hot in there) So I took him in. Now we're both learning how to adjust.

This is kind of stupid - I have a Bengal and I know some others that do as well. My cat (and the other ones I know) have never peed or pooped outside the litter box, not even once - and he even moved house with us several times ... But I do admit, it's a challenging breed, but an adorable one - you need a lot of time for them, but 85 % of what's being said in the video is not true for the Bengals I know.

I rescued a Mama cat and her 4 two day old kittens abandoned in a house getting ready for demolition. I will never forget that night...as I placed each kitten in the carrier with their mama...I made a vow to protect and keep them all safe and loved. All are spayed, one neuter and vaccinated...I keep my kitties inside. They are now just over a year old. They bring me joy everyday....Amazing that they get along so well together. I hope I live long enough to see them through their lives as I am a senior.

Seriously, the worst thing that ever happened to dogs was the insistence on "purity", "bloodlines", and "breed standards". The result was dogs which can't breathe (eg pugs, bulldogs etc), dogs with eye problems (pugs-again - chihuahuas, etc) dogs which can't even f*cking BREED without help from humans (bulldogs - again- etc.) and now this "purity" nonsense is starting to infect our poor bloody CATS. STOP with this godawful CR^P. Hasn't racism done enough harm to the human race without adding it to this long list of ABOMINATIONS? It's bad enough having genetic abnormalities being promoted with the likes of f*cking MUNCHKINS which can't even do normal cat things like, you know, JUMP, but promoting "Pure Breeding" to ANY strain that already has a limited gene pool is just madness. It is only in recent years that the GCotCF (Governing Council of the Cat Fancy) has stopped permitting the introduction of non "Pure" strains into fixed strains in order to encourage the strength of breeds, a fact which IMHO in a retrograde step. Isn't it enough that we encourage racism in our own societies without having to promote it in our poor damned PETS?!!!!

Six years ago I left home to live abroad becoming a digital nomad. I was free and moving from place to place, staying long term at beautiful locations at air bnb. I've always had cats but I had become free from attachments and the last thing I expected was for a cat to enter my life. I was staying in the mountains of Armenia and a friendly kitty came and jumped in my lap. I of course petted her and wondered why she was so friendly. There were many strays around. So I started feeding her and actually growing attached and wondering what I should do when I leave because she seemed dependent on me and we formed a bond over some weeks. Then one day she greets me at the door and she has a litter of kittens with her! She had been feeding them all along (sometimes she would take a hot dog from me and run away) and she trusted me to bring them. I had no idea where she had been hiding them or how she wrangled them all up to bring them because they were already big enough to run around. So then I knew I couldn't just leave her. Through an international pet rescue organization on facebook I was put in touch with a veterinarian office in Yerevan willing to help me. They sent their driver with a big cage so we could transport them all (it wasn't easy rounding them all up). Thank God we were able to find homes for all but two - Mama and one kitten so I adopted them. Now six years later, I still have them. They have lived in three countries but we have been in one place for five years now. They changed my life and they were definitely sent by God. I had had other plans to further wander the globe but these kitties have kept me more stable and secure. They are my family here. I love my mama cat and her kitten (who is now much bigger than her mama).

I occasionally look out the front window of my home. Across the street, is a church. On a particular afternoon, I chose to look out the window, and running from the church's driveway to mine was this orange tabby kitten, about 8 weeks old. I quickly went into my yard, and for the next week, I built up my relationship with him. He's now a year old, and since he's wanted to cuddle from early on, I've named him CuKi; for CUddly KItty. I've no doubt that God has brought him into my life.

What I want to know is why god sent 28 kitties to my family… 😂 We love and cherish every single one as part of our family…. they all found us.. we only adopted the first one… the rest came to us as strays found in multiple places we have lived.

I’d rather God send me a dog than a cat. Cats are totally destructive. They tear up your furniture. They bite and claw you through a personified pain in the butt. I have a 18 month old male main coon and he's a fantastic character I really enjoy when he talks to us and the noises he makes I don't agree with the video the main coon is affectionate family breed he is fantastic with my 7 year old son I would fully recommend getting a main coon without hesitation
