A good technique to start with; however, when your ears become trained to hear those frequencies, the EQ becomes adjustable. Additionally, it depends on what kind of music you're mixing and your style.

Excellent arrangement strategy. The dynamic changes are key to add variety and create a big drop feel. Crusy a legend.
