Just finished the P1/2 race 5 minutes before. Did a lot of lead-out practice with Velosport this race.

Racing for team Velosport. I crashed the day before during the road race. Luckily was well enough to finish the stage and race the next day.

I really liked this course, especially the hill feature. I came into this race with the goal of either, getting in a break or giving my teammate a decent leadout. Neither of these happened, but that's just how things go. Unfortunately, my front derailleur got knocked outwards. after my DNF at the VOS criterium earlier this year due to my front derailleur being knocked inwards this was a big fea...

This course was very exciting, much more action than a normal 4 corner crit. I raced with team VeloSport. goPro battery died, so unfortunately I do not have the finish on video.

My first P/1/2 race. I focused on covering as many attacks as possible in hopes of getting into a breakaway. I'm pretty happy with how I performed, it was a fun race. Unfortunately, my GoPro battery died before the finish. I need to work on cornering though lol.

After not doing so well in the qualifier race I decided to change my goals for today’s race. I focused more on just having a good fun race. I felt a little better today and did better with holding my position on the first climb. My goal was to finish top 50 and I got 43rd so I am definitely happy with that.

This was a really fun race with a nice punchy climb that I liked. My three teammates all made the selection and worked well together. I got off the front at 6 laps to go. Then my teammate and one other rider bridged up to me on the next lap and the three of us stayed away till the finish.

This was a pretty fun race, the course definitely had some rough spots but that just made it more fun. The team did great(Lux Cycling), we took 1st, 2nd, 5th, 7th, and 9th! After helping my teammates for most of the race I was able to break away from the main group on the last lap and took 7th. I definitely exceeded my expectations!

Am I seeing things, or do Americans have their seats set higher than Europeans do? It seems like the European racers all seem to sit lower.
bit of bad luck there. seems like you were either getting hung out to dry and swamped or boxed in. 57:51 you got chopped by #7, the eventual winner.

I live in Charleston. Hope you we were good hosts anf enjoyed your time! I love this 1st person footage because, as a resident who knows these roads like the back of my hand, it really helps me to fully appreciate how fast competitive cyclists are 😮

Lockout those forks up hill, you're not getting all your power through the bike, especially when going uphill. You could be losing 10% by doing that. Just try it and you'll notice the difference. Of course you need to have an operating fork downhill. Impressive downhill.

Thanks. Climatizing was kinda tough. During the month before I spent some time riding near the top of my local ski mountain which is 7,000 feet.
off of this competition we can infer that fixed gears are no faster than single speed, if fixed is better than everyone would be riding fixed.
