It’s opening day of shotgun season I’m Nebraska but Jake is taking his bow instead because he’s finally got it ready to to shoot big decap style broadheads. It’s raining, the scouting wasn’t great the day before, but luck is on his side and he’s able to sling an arrow!

A rainy morning made for a damp experience but with a somewhat cooperating tom and a nice cozy blind Jake was able to get it done on opening day. Keep in mind that most of these hunts are self-filmed so we do what we can as far as footage goes and we hope you enjoy!

The whole group gets together for the opening day of Early Teal Season in Nebraska. Everyone had to work through some first hunt jitters but we were able to have a great time a knock some fowl out of the sky. A first time waterfowl hunter even gets his first duck!

Deer Season is finally upon us! Jake and Hunter hit the woods on opening week and had a couple encounters with some nice bucks that ultimately need another year of growing. They plan to keep grinding and hope their decisions to pass some good deer, leads to them having an opportunity at some great deer.

Jake is in a pinch to beat some incoming weather and get his final food plot planted for the 2020 deer season. Instead of working the ground a little this year Jake decides to save time and try out this no till method. I think of wild hogs as "land roaches." Lots of trapping and hunting necessary to cap their population explosion. No cruelty is involved but good land management. Thanks for the protein Porky Pig. Keep the cutlery sharp!

I have 7 dozen Avianx honkers and bought most in 2014 or 2015 and only have 2 bases that messed up. Alot of decoys now , GHG,FA have decent carving but the color is to light on the back IMO. Since Avianx changed ownership I will be buying SXDECOYS if and when I need more.
So you’d recommend JT Call’s to a beginner? I talked about JT calls to my dad but my dad is a firm believer in RNT calls.

I would recommend them to beginners 100% just bought the cq2 and it’s one of the best duck calls I’ve owned
Idk about their goose calls, but their duck call stuck on me more than any other call I've ever owned
My cq2 is sticky too. I think he made a new sound board that’s supposed to help with sticking though.
I had the exact same setup a bunch of random brands of decoys 40 dzn if I could go back I would of stayed with 1 brand pain in the ass IMO but this past year I sold the trailer and switched to dive bombs 80dzn silos and 20dzn socks I will never go back to fullbodys again best decision ever.
Awesome hunt, as a hardcore turkey hunter myself, that go pro video is amazing, I have no clue why this video isn’t blowing up, I mean that’s some awesome awesome footage, the sound that arrow made was craaaazy. Congratulations again on a great hunt, I will be looking for ya when you put out videos for sure.

Do you guys use shells? Also, do you think it matters if the color schemes on the decoys is different? Some are more brown than others, some don’t have as much detail, we run silhouettes, shells, and full bodies. Curious what you guys think. Thanks!
I really like using active shells when there is snow on the ground to imitate geese sitting in snow to melt it

Awesome review, guys! I've got 2 dozen of the Avian's and I think they look great and are durable as ever. However..... The base system blows... I wish Avian had customer service that actually gave a shit about their products in order to make them better in the future.

Great review ! You should try Dakotas signature series. You won’t buy anything else after you try them. They are a very tough decoy we throw them in and out of the trailer with the big feet we use only difference in the durability between the two is the heads don’t fly off like the bigfeet and the base is connected by a heavy bungee cord. Nice to hear an honest decoy comparison. I would like to see more gear comparisons. Great job !
All our floaters are dakotas and love them. You’re right, we need to pick us up some Dakota full bodies

I love dsd decoys, have some of their turkey deeks. But are they really worth the extra money for the wear and tear we put honker deeks through?
Yes less decoys used easier to take care of. Mine still look new after a season and a half of extreme use.
Good review but ever since we switched to socks and silhouettes we'll never ho back to full bodies.
Big foots are horrible they can’t even stand up in 20mph+ wind they just fall over

Absolutely! Every now and then we have to check ourselves and slow things down to make sure the dog his doing his job right but having fun at the same time 👊
