So the N1 uses T12 and the N2 T65? My owners manual for the N1 says T65, but the tip provided is T12. I think if I buy T65 tips they won't be long enough.

Happy Christmas to you!, i have some ideas for possible future projects for you?!, first is a microphone preamp board that you can fit in any cb. Second is a fm board to give fm tx and rx capabilities to am only cb's and last is having a range of pll replacement boards to give coverage of the 28 to 29 mhz amateur band to the older cb's so those of us who have an amateur radio licence can convert "naughty" cb's to 10m, you might need to design replacement vco boards to give the extra coverage. Food for thought.

Abit savage drilling a hole in a radio that’s survived this long untouched. You can fit the Fc lead neatly through the pre-made notch on the rear panel and the top lid. Fits nice and snug to the panel so it’s not flopping about in the wind..

What was the issue with LCD ?

Nice job on that encoder fault .Changing the capacitors is definitely recommended. You get a lot of noise generated within that PLL board which affects the receiver. It's just a pain to do as for some strange reason UNIDEN didn't print the capacitor locations on the PCB. But it's well worth doing.

Where did you purchase the green cap for the incandescent bulb, not a fan of the orange display. The ones i've found state they're for LED bulbs, not incandescent.

I love the Lincoln radio's. I am on my third one!!. Another problem i found with the rotary channel change is that there are 2 low value electrolytic capacitors on the up/down voltage lines going from the channel switch to the cpu. They are either side of the channel change socket on the cpu board, i have found they can go leaky and cause the "skippy" channel change. Hope this information is useful.

Tried my best following this guide and few others only to end up with an even worse left click. I wonder where I went wrong, I got omron switches and now instead of a double click, it doesn't work at all on input and from time to time holds down left click from just touching the microswitch until I manage to wiggle it back to not working anymore.
