Anson is such a great player. Tasteful phrasing, beautiful 'Stratty' clean tone and very unique style. A blues master.

I'm disappointed in Otis. Cheapening himself by being an Albert Collins tribute act. He usually cheapens himself by being a BB King tribute act...

I don't understand the hate for Otis Grand, they were both fantastic. Otis was a showboat, but seemed like he really was feeling what he was playing.

you can tell that that Otis Grand dude has a huge ego. even when Anson is playing he's lurking around in the background looking impatient/playing too loud/cutting back in....ugh...I hate players like that.....

Been listening to Otis and Anson for the last 20 years. I never really got Otis' style to begin with and I still don't. He seems to play for himself, and himself only. I come away from his sound feeling like I've just been arguing with a used car salesman. Anson though, he's just got it all. Loved his style from the first time I heard it and I still do.

I would be that happiest man in the world if I could even play half as good as Anson!

I just discovered him today. I found one of his CDs at the Goodwill. This is some gnarly stuff. His dynamics n improvisation show no repetition.

It's the spacing in Anson's playing - among other things - that make it so soulful and great! He let's the band fill in the spaces instead of taking it all for himself. He's one of the most underrated blues guitar players ever - simply fantastic! Thanks for posting!

I watch every Tom, Dick and Harry playing rock and blues guitar on youtube from all over the world and Otis Grand is near the top of the heap, especially to be as unknown as he is in the USA. Blows most of the others away.
