@@akshtyagi2118 Bulldog Clamps are small, spring-loaded vascular clamps used to temporarily occlude blood flow in veins or arteries. Their design allows for minimal trauma to the vessel wall, making them ideal for delicate vascular and cardiac procedures. Uses of Bulldog Clamps 1. Temporary Occlusion of Blood Flow: They are used to stop or reduce blood flow in a specific section of a vessel without causing damage. 2. Vascular Anastomosis: During procedures where two blood vessels are being connected, bulldog clamps control bleeding in the operative field. 3. Minimally Invasive Surgery: They are used in laparoscopic and robotic surgeries due to their small size and precise control. 4. Aneurysm Repair: Used to temporarily block blood flow to an aneurysm during surgical repair. Correlation with Heart Surgery Yes, bulldog clamps are frequently used in cardiac surgery. They are essential for procedures involving coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve repair or replacement, and other vascular grafting procedures. Surgeons use them to temporarily occlude coronary arteries or other vessels to maintain a clear, bloodless surgical field while they perform precise suturing or grafting. Their non-damaging design is critical for cardiac tissues where vessel integrity must be preserved. If you'd like more specific details on how they are used in heart surgery, let me know!
Between 0:48 to 0:59 your tech immediately contaminates while gloving! The glove wrapper touches the bare mayo and she then grabs the parts that does touch. Then her gown tie falls below the waist and is picked up by the circulator and handed to the tech bare handed. I know this is just practice, but these basics shouldn't be happening!

If you've gone through a Surgical Technology program, focus on retention rather than just memorization-understanding the material is key. There’s no shortcut; it takes consistent studying, reviewing multiple questions, and building confidence in your knowledge. Having a solid plan is essential, and with hard work, success is achievable!
I passed my exam thanks to Mr. Tony’s guidance. His tips on time management were invaluable.
For me, the mock exams were the best part. They really prepared me for the real thing.

@WarrenKiallo You don’t always need a plan. Sometimes you just need to breathe, trust, let go and see what happens. Sometimes hard work doesn't pay; you have to back it up with smartness, I think your cousin understood that perfectly.

I hope it goes well.
It takes time but gotta put more than 2 fingers on it and really put those flaps down so they don’t pop up on you! Literally was terrified of everything when I first started opening stuff. We’re so guilty of gowning off the back table in the real world though. But we often open light handles and such like that on the mayo because most of us don’t have large enough hands to be able to open them and not drop them.

My wife was a surgical tech in labor and delivery for 5 + years. We got married and she had to move from FL to TX. Well she took a surgical tech program and graduated but got a job right after graduation so never got the CST certification. Now after several interviews it seems like places don't honor experience as much as having the certification. So from surgical tech, she's now an MA. she graduated her surgical tech program in 2019 and is trying to study for the test to take sometime by end of year or next year. I'm not in the medical industry, I'm a data engineer, but i understand the value of community and guidance. I've watched a few of your videos just to get familiar with the language and scope of the field and I must say, great job! Love your format, and you're very clear. Checked out your IG, and you seem very passionate educated and genuine. I'll definitely become a member, and although I'm located in Texas i would love to know how i can help in any way. Anything tech, anything data, i also have video editing experience for over 10 years. Hopefully we can connect soon
