I love these old videos!! I was 3yrs old at the time of this one! Right at the 60min mark, Everette Smith, who was my aunty’s dad, is the one with the horse and wagon! I will forward my aunty this video, and she will be thrilled! Her dad passed away about ten years ago now. Thank you for uploading these old videos!

Roy’s brother Sam is in the footage at 3:42 mark .He wore clear glasses and looked very similar to Roy .I met Sam in 84 and 92 . He was also was apart of a legend show with Orbison impersonator.

This dude is one of those performers that I wish I could have seen live, but never had the opportunity to.

What a workhorse!! Touring 6 months out the year is a long time to be away from home! Especially every year for years and years!! But he said in one UK interview when ask if he toured because he enjoyed it, or for financial reasons? After a slight pause, he said, "both!" And this was in 87 or 88 not long before he passed. He left Barbara, his wife, one of the wealthiest widows in the music industry. I surely do love that guy and his voice!!

This is the year Roy had a triple bypass surgery. Wish he was stil among us at 86 years old.

Why does the city council woman have that goofy, teeth baring smile, during most of the interview? It seemed like she was in on an exclusive private joke that no one could hear, except herself. It's just bizarre.

Nothing has changed. I called 911 last year from Cranbrook and was on hold for 12 minutes before I hing up and had my husband drive me to the hospital

Mrs. Materi is the teacher with the students... and I wouldn't be surprised if I did one of the cameras!
