I love how this game, prior to all the lore, really adds to exactly how smart the Flood were. After the initial outbreak, they waited for more food to come instead of just going and spreading out immediately.

Should have put it on heroic difficulty, seems like it’s on easy and it takes forever for the flood infection forms to take down even a blue elite’s shield, but still cool though!

I feel like there's a alternate reality where this could have happened. A covenant general so demented that after he heard the demon was on the ship that he would desperately assure the death of him. He had gathered some parasite prisoners as he had beat the humans to the ring and would launch several life pods full of the flood onto the pillar of autumn alongside all his men to assure no human survivors. That's a really dark reality to think of but I fully believe it to be well within the realm of possibility as Covenant have done worse to one another for less such as Mercy being betrayed by Truth for no reason.
