Haha you may need to add a disclaimer to your podcasts my friend as unless you are a treating clinical psychiatrist you probably may not be able to lecture on psychiatric or addiction illness as it could be quite dangerous to go into mindfulness trainings with true mental illness. That's my experience anyway. Namaste 🙏❤🎉 I would have died if I had not sought clinical detox during alcohol and drug withdrawal, and many of my friends have died whilst withdrawing without clinical assistance so I just think mindfulness "teachers" may be more effectively received if sought as part of overall treatment plan if chosen ...but not for informal diagnosis ya know? Telling an addict they can "just stop using" immediately can cause danger I feel ❤ thankyou ❤

I've wondered why we have this burden of keeping our ego out of driving our life, if it's a goal to have an ego which we aren't distracted by constantly, are we really the most evolved life form on earth? What's the point of this ego in this top of the food chain vessel we inhabit? My dog appears to live in the moment perpetually, he does get bothered by my shortcomings, he doesn't dwell on my absence when I'm gone for weeks at a time and just seems happy as ever being with my son when I'm gone. Sure, he prefers to be with me when I'm around... But what makes us so evolved, considering how miserable we become when someone (and even some thing) we love is gone? It's laughable how temperamental a human can become plagued with some triviality from the past or how preoccupied we become anticipating something from the future - which will never even happen in the manner we're so focused for it to unfold? Can we really be the most important specimen in this realm? The point of life of humans on this earth is to evolve our souls, become okay with reality ...just like a dog, and every other specimen alive on earth? Now this makes some interesting logical sense but only if we start as humans and work ourselves to manage and look past our myopic ego to be reborn as a dog? 🤣 Oh dear, one day I'll be a master of my consciousness and find myself reborn as an olive tree... Existing for hundreds of years providing my fruits to be consumed by the various other life forms and be in blissful perpetual sollice for the time I'm well and alive in a constant meditative state being an olive tree in the wild or in a controlled grove by those not quite so evolved human prodding and clipping me regularly to fulfill a single purpose prescribing my existence and purpose.

Loving yourself unconditionally and forgiving yourself unconditionally -not with ego but simply with love - you will be kinder, more fun, and a magnet for love wherever you go. It works!
