Ruan Martial Arts
Добавлен 27 фев 2012
Hello, my name is Gabriel Ruan and I am a martial artist, actor, and stuntman living in Southern California. I have trained in martial arts since I was 10 years old. I have a first-degree black belt in Kuk Sool Kwan, as well as an extensive background in Boxing, Muay Thai, and grappling. For the past few years, my martial arts career has consisted of working as a stuntman in the film industry, as well as working as martial arts instructor at the Kuk Sool Kwan headquarters and the world famous Team Oyama MMA Training Center. I am beyond grateful to have trained under martial artists such as Michael Dunchok, Thourn Heng and DY Sao. In this channel, I hope to spread my knowledge of martial arts. I have many interviews of prominent martial arts Masters that I edit into documentaries for my audience here on RUclips to view. I also have been documenting the Kuk Sool Kwan curriculum with my instructor. Thank you for your viewership!
Training Andrew AKA "The Hammah" Parte Dos
In this fun and engaging video, I’m teaching my good friend Andrew during a private martial arts lesson. Andrew, one of my funniest and most entertaining friends, joins me as we work on fundamental footwork, boxing, kickboxing techniques, and Taekwondo-style kicking. We finish the session with some challenging hip-strengthening exercises, which Andrew tackles with his signature style! Since this session, Andrew has made incredible progress, and I couldn’t be prouder of his dedication. Training with him is always an absolute pleasure, and I’m excited to share this experience with you!

Your kick ? 🤣🤣🤣💀
Bro putting his hand up like he won a belt, dawg bag does not move or hit back. Better land that shi lol
Its more his kick den it is urs mate ur kicking a punching bag
Your kick? 😂😂
Calm down 😂😂😂 that shit was invented way before you were born. 😂😂😂
Bruh both kicks are awesome, but to actually be able to perform that first kick in a actual fight is mind-blowing, the set up and movement was flawless
I’d like to see the set up he actually used, it was more like a knee shot fake into the kick
Well he did the same as the second, propped himself onto his hand and then looks he swung real hard into it. Well placed kick, and it does look like he faked him. My bet is he just caught him off guard
What you says that capoeira
Is it like Taekyung or like subaki
Siram wrestling ?
Lol That actually is Big Joe in your footage
@@mastermichaeldunchok dats why I put it there !
.....no he didnt. His was a wheel kick yours was a martel no chao, a capoeira kick.
Firstly, the first kick was not even close to a wheel kick (ushiro mawashi geri). Secondly, both of the kicks were very similar, the only difference being that the first guy (fighter) dropped onto his knee and hopped onto his arm for the kick, while the second guy dropped down in a squatting position before hopping onto his arm to kick. Both of them did a martelo no chao, except the first dude modified it slightly.
😂😂😂😂
@@sfw_papi24firstly it was the poke in the eye...not the spinning front death kick
Diet first
Thanks! This will definitely help at the family Christmas party😊
Can’t wait to show grandma🙈
The best martial arts are Karate, Kung Fu, Ninjutsu and Hapkido (in that order).
This is why a jab and good footwork is important. So people can’t just grab your hands with out opening up for trying. Goes from grabbing to catching and if you miss time POW
In Ryukyu Kempo and Udundi of Okinawa it is still taught this way !
Bullshido
It’s crazy seeing professions breaking down stuff
What is this shit
That’s the bullshito technique, not in real life sensei
Its not bullshito, just ancient. The techniques that would be used are modified for presentation and presented as a group known as a kata. Since then, theres obviously been in advancement in self defense reducing these techniques to an ancient art form
@ I did a dojo ryu for a while, only forms and traditional styles For fighting isn’t recommended, combination of traditional western boxing and karate, muay tai is the best and lethal
This is pointless. Why? Because they have invented something called the revolver. It stops the most dangerous fighters.
Legit would never work in a fight. This is movie junk. Wax on wax off danielson.
Well he’s separated the part that works from the part that doesn’t for once, the initial motion is just the same as any other martial arts parry pretty much, the follow through is some fancy flowing hands bs that doesn’t work unless you’re fighting someone with no experience. Realistically it should be the initial motion followed by strikes.
Might not work on a trained fighter but would sure work on someone like you that’s practicing mma by watching TV lol. A karate black belt would 100% beat the living shit out of you “ when I see red it’s done” type of guys .
Mmmm
Very true!
Brilliant
Very interesting conversation! I learned quite a lot! Good Job!
Beautiful story and beautifully edited! ✨💓
This is so clean …
Miss you bro!
Tai otoshi ?
This was really great to watch
Poor Hangeul romanization = even more confusing Hankukmal pronunciation. The correct would be Kangwando and Soo Saek Tae Tae. I take the history given by masters with a grain of salt. Ironic this "Kuk Sool" came about at the height of the WKSA's intro to N. America. Even KSW's Suh In Hyuk has a meandering history put forth.
This man sounds like me
Awesome
Water stance given the one-handed movements and lack of kicks.
You are right at home there. 😊
I'm 77 when I was 21yo I punched holes in canvas bags I was a 3rd degree Black belt. Speed makes power 1 was only 169lbs
3rd degree black belt in what?
Bros punching so hard it's vibrating the punching bag 😭 keep it up bro
Elbows too high on the hooks. Be careful of straining your deltoids (shoulder muscles).
Yeah that style i have grown to be my most interested.
I do really like this version of the form.
Thank you for sharing.
I say "po". Gabe says "rawr rarr rah."
I trained with the club
Hell Yeah Me Too
Even the guy behind you give a "damn bro" look 💀
Put some detail about who this guy is in the description so that people know what they're seeing!
That's not how RUclips shorts works ha
Lol Whatttt?
Great interview!
