Berserk can show his theme elaborately with gore , violence and other mature stuff it shows the tragedy of a person and the journey of his acceptance while one piece is a tale it's good it has one of the best theme and the best world building i have ever seen so yeah they both are great it's just a matter of perspective

I was definitely a one piece fan (and until this point I had read a lot of shonen manga and from seinen I read vinland) than I read berserk and berserk became number one for me. Its a hard choice for me but I relate more to Guts spirutally. Luffy has a clear goal in life and is aiming for it(thats one aspect he has in common with with griffith), but guts even with wanting revenge on griffith my mans doesn't have a goal(like me ) but refuses to simply die and struggle to find his purpose. I have also been sexually assaulted as a kid so I could empathize with guts anger to not be touched(but guts is a total badass though I was a bitch that kept it to myself). Guts overcoming obstacles is just love.

@@originalmrdegenerate best world building, nah… best theme nah. I like one piece but it’s just a kids story realistically. It’s full of repetitive arcs, it builds on the standard shonen arcs, it has had like 6 deaths in the more then 20 years it’s been going. It’s world building isn’t that great either, having a map doesn’t make your world building greater either. The character also is never actually challenged because every time Luffy is facing a stronger foe he just gets a stronger ability, how is that development. Guts has to use his own strength and his gear to apostles for a stronger then him, he doesn’t get random power ups half way through battle and apart from the Guts armour he doesn’t get stronger. Also if you think the themes in one piece are stronger then you obviously are misreading berserk.

@@donjon123 yeah I can never imagined the end of berserk cuz like thorfinn the death of askeladd was starting of something big and after that arc it gave totally different vibe and I don't there is anyone who can not relate with guts in the starting of arc when he killed the apostle king and his daughter just wanted to kill him the face he made at that time i still remember, so yeah when you grow you can understand these mature theme

Stories suffer when it becomes westernized, one piece tropes are a good example of how stories back then have fallen to a generic and simple story telling. That also wastes humanities time Another good example is mainstream music. Remember when we had people like Mozart creating complex music? Now it's just dominated by shit that was made in a day
