Wich software
Did this for years on a Doosan multi-axis lathe (TT1800SY). It's super-efficient and almost completely eliminates chatter. You can double your feedrate and significantly increase spindle speed. Very cool. Tapering is reduced as well.
Which AIR BLAST SYSTEM is used here ?
Iam designing a AUTOMATED WORKSTATION with mikron series machines and integrating a 3D Scanner instead for quality inspection. But the cleaning / removal of chips plays an integral role . what can i do in this step . i need to incorporate a AIR BLAST STATION could you suggest some system that could be used in this case
I love this ❤❤
waste of time and money
Tool size and how many tool can be loaded in magazine? Is it capto6 and 2525?
SC 300 have boxertype slides. Nakamura told us many times, this apllication is not possible ?
We did this during our trade show. Was not a problem. However, I would not run for a long period of time or you can wear prematurely the box ways long term.
We are interested in knowing the configurability of the manufacturing process. Apparently there are multiple processes for the part, if a different part is needed, how much programming needs to be done?
Cool
Impressing automated cell, very good representation of how CAM and CMM work together. I am curious who manufacturers the grippers used (the 2 and the 3 fingers one). Thank you!
The chucks/ grippers are Schunk. The jaws were machined in house for customer.

cheating the machine?
what software do you use How do you tell the software to move the "Y" axis with the option of turning and not milling...
I used Mastercam. I ended up hand editing the start of program to remove milling tool spindle start command. That’s it.
How do the 2 different Tools run simultaneously? Is there a special way to code that?
The machine runs 2 programs simultaneously. Upper turret runs one, lower turret runs another. You then sync them up using Wait M codes.
Can I ask on this part what’s the difference between this projected curve and other commands such as morph or parallel? I haven’t used projected curve before, thanks
What is it doing? Roughing two passes on top of each other?
Sort of. It is cutting same size at same z location. This allows you to double your FeedRate. Because upper and lower turret are 180 degrees apart, it also keep part stable due to it being in a pinch state.
Would love to see the g code for this toolpath 😊

Load Sensing ? Is this a standard way to do ? Or a Work Around , I though Probes would have been used ? , Does the machine support this way ? Is this the recommended way , it's sooooo cool 🌸🌸🌸
You can use probe but that is a option that customer did not purchase. The NT Navi as seen in video is standard option on all Nakamura products.
Cost of robotic arm
100 000$ ballpark for this heavy payload Kuka depending on end of arm tooling.

@@cuttingcnc9111 thanks you so much, But i have only three axis x z and c on machine
@@cuttingcnc9111 do you delete S7937 M89 and leave only F3120? I want to try that on NTX2000/fanuc
@@0ssaa Yes. I deleted in G code the M89 command. I leave the feed the same since it was cutting a straight diameter. Mastercam 2023 now has B axis turning which eliminates all this editing. I tested post on machine and it works well. Would not use it everyday but for demo purpose, it sure looks cool.
@@cuttingcnc9111 Thank you, for now I dont have 2023 Mc. I hope I will figure it out
Who is the cell manufacturer?
Elliott Matsuura in Canada did this cell setup.

That's some pretty smart programming and use of the load sensing, nice job!
Thank you for your comment. It ended up working great for this kind of job.
What kind of factory is that?
Oil and Gas products are made in this cell
What type of KUKA Robot is that?
Kuka 180kg with 2.5m reach on 7m rail for the first one. Kuka 120kg with 2.5m reach floor mounted.
KRC 60 I suppose
Awesome! When “was” this recorded? Seems like year 2030 to me. Been working on a 2005 Nakamura-Tome Wt-100 for three years and still impressed by it’s capabilities, but this clip right here is a whole new level 🙌🏼
Thank you. It took us around 8 months to get it all operational. 53 parts programmed with automation in this one cell. A lot of fun. WT are amazing machines. Thanks again.
Nice! Can you tell me which M code you used to control SFM using the y-axis? Thank you.
Hi there, On newer Nakamura control, it is M code activated but on older 30i, you can do it by writing to parameter. Parameter 3770=4 for Y axis, 3770=0 for X axis(standard) This is how I do it: Before Y axis partoff application (Y-AXIS CSS ON) G4.1P1 G10L52 N3770R4 G11 G4.1P1 (partoff routine) (Y-AXIS CSS OFF) G4.1P1 G10L52 N3770R0 G11 G4.1P1 Just remember if you hit reset during partoff, Y axis SFM is still active so make sure to change back to 0 If you want, you can create a custom M code for this which makes life easier. Hope this helps.
@@cuttingcnc9111 OMG! It worked perfectly. Thank you for the quick and detailed explanation, YOU ROCK!
@@aokimade No problem. Glad its working for you.
Really great how much does one if these go for ?
Thank you. I know they are more then 500k CND but no exact number.
Worth every penny
How do you close the chuck, do you have any valve that actionate the pedal, and how do you start the cycle, i don t see any button presser.
You can control most machine features via Ethernet cable from CNC to Robot. The robot can send I/O signals such as Chuck Open/Close, Cycle start, Open/Close door, Spindle start and many more. Hope this helps.
Hello do you have postprosesor for this machine? How much money do you sell this post?
I do have post processor for this machine. Works great. Contact your Mastercam sales rep for quote. Usually under 3000$ all said and done for post only.

BORING!!!!!!!!!!! every single turret doosan is faster then you
By all means, post a video of a single turret doosan turning 4130 faster with a CNMG432. This was also a production process and not some demo put on for a video. Any machine can do something cool for a one minute youtube video. It's another thing to make hundreds of parts at a time.
DOC 2,5mm, 0,28mm/rev, 210m/min, big fat WNMG in negative holder on old Doosan Lynx 220LM, just 35% load on the spindle in 304 stainless.... gonna push it more tho, I´m just worried a little bcs I´m beginner, the good thing is that I´ve got it to break the chip properly
nice
That's an interesting video, glad it still shows the credits at the beginning. I made that video years ago while working for EMCI. Is CuttingCNC affiliated with EMCI?
Hi Rob, it’s Paul here at EMCI. I left due credits since it’s a great video for customer reference. I use this channel (mine only) to store video presentations. Thank you
Do you have any sample cnc code you could share. Because you probably had to manually edit the post from milling mode to turning mode?
Once posted, I only removed the live tool spindle command line. It posts a continuous x,y,z,c point to point commands until the end of program.
You have a postprocessor for nakamura tome sc 300??
Yes. Using Mastercam post for SC series machines.
Cutting speed equals max y-axis feedrate? :)
You are correct. The Y axis is what determines our max feed for this machine demo.
if the cmm indicate that the part is bad or is a limit good part what the robot will do? The CMM give any correction to the CNC?
If part is bad, you can stack parts in separate bin or flag them as bad on HMI screen. Many options based on your part. This setup was only for machine tool show. There is software such as Autocomp that allows you to easily communicate between CMM and CNC via Ethernet cable. You can add wear offsets based on tolerance or stop machine if necessary. The software is very user friendly.
That's where humans come
if the cmm indicate that the part is bad or is a limit good part what the robot will do?
If the part is bad, it will show up red on HMI screen and still offload part in rack. The CMM always sends wear offset adjustments to appropriate machine for next part. If the offset change is greater then a tolerance we set, it will stop machine before finish pass to allow operator to go in machine and change insert.
Wow. Oil and gas part lol made very similar myself. no robots tho 😥
In Alberta, Oil and Gas parts is popular. Robots are a great add on for lights out production.
No pics of the final product? Also, your beats need more pulse for me to really dig this video. Definitely a cool machine, though. A shop nearby just put one in and it's a monster.
Thank you for your feedback. All valid points. I will use your suggestions for next video.
