I have a question how did you connect the video output for the A8 mini camera gimbal to the raspberry pi
The A8 hardware unit was utilizing a TCP/IP connection through the onboard flight controller (FC) network. The FC is a Pixhawk 6X that has onboard ethernet and functions as a router for the entire system. The PI was running a Emteria/Android OS emulator for the A8 android app for camera and gimbal control. The PI also allows for secondary HDMI output of the video signal address. For a simpler configuration, I utilized an older phone running on an Oreo 8.1 OS using just the A8 app and using the default video broadcast IP address of the device and for gimbal control access.
I keep having thoughts about a solar flare scorching the surface of the earth. It feels like an impending doom is approaching.
IMO, I think we are safe from that for a couple of billion years. With that said, we are more vulnerable to a massive CME and how it would affect our power grid if one were to hit us directly.
This is awesome, but what's the difference between 14/15? Is it a combined composite video?
It actually shows both regions (AR3614/15) and how they are connected magnetically. The video is layered with 3 ranges (AIA131,AIA171, an AIA335) to approximate the color range that most visualize. This is the composite. The last portion is a zoom in on the same regions of the composite video.

Yeah, it's big. 10" props, 920KV motors. It's a S500 frame kit. I put it together from scratch. It flew better today than in this video just didn't record it. When I reviewed the configuration, I had missed one from the testing that needed to be reset. The altimeter was set for the bench and being tied down for the last thrust test. 🙂

Apparently, recently the site was finally sold to someone from previous owners so the new owners can tear down the buildings and get scrap or rebuild or something. I'm sure this building will be next. You got lucky. I went there a couple years ago scouting for a film location. All I did was park in the parking lot and take a couple pictures of the building from the outside; then sent it to the owners corporate office so they'd know what building I was talking about instead of just an address. They emailed me back saying they were considering pressing TRESSPASSING charges on me for even parking on their parking lot! They were EXTREMELY strict!! Of course, that was back before it was even boarded up and was still 95% in tact. And then about a year ago, hoodlums tore down the board and just completely destroyed the place.
I think Indian River bought that entire tract. Both buildings. All of the equipment had their logo and contact info.
