My next build- it's lovely. On a budget, my State 4130 Road $599 complete, worthy of upgrades. Your Surly is the big kid version of my bike. The State in 55 and the Surly in 54 share identical fit. The upgrade is disc, through axle, tire clearance.

we climbed baguio last march, this video still remains as one my inspiration and motivation, though my wife is a bit angry because we took too long to arrived at baguio hehe still one of the best ride of my life.

If your travel will comprise mainly of concrete roads mas madali itulak ang slick tires kesa sa knobbies, I travel Baguio as well coming from CVT City and I use a hibrid bike I got two sets of wheels that I interchange depende sa dadaanan ko if mainly roads I just use my slick tires and proper tire pressure para mabilis sa patag, just saying, keep safe riding
