Wow was this interesting Beth! Thanks so much for putting this together!!!
I live in west greeley. House backs to greeley natural area. Thousands! They have eaten all,of my plants they are everywhere. I really need some help in getting rid of them. What should I do since my yard backs to 50 acres that is infested
my grasshoppers ate all the corn stalks and marigolds most of the squash and cucumbers all of the potatoes and eggplant and peppers they left the tomato plants alone but ate the tomatoes
what is really going on with nolo bait and semaspores seems as if there is some issue with the microbe nosema locustae ? i know of other biological control but afraid to even mention it...
semaspore was like nolo bait not ecobran, ecobran is like sevin and i do not use the carbaryl poison chemical i am organic grower so i only use natural or biological microbes
Are these products safe for animals. I have a dog.plus deer come through my property
In Pueblo West lots here. Southside by reservoir

The best thing for getting rid of grasshoppers here in Texas is cattle egrets. Their numbers (cattle egrets) are getting less each year. Homes are being built on their nesting sites and people are also scaring them off. It’s been on the news with people setting off fireworks to make them leave. They really like to roost by the thousands in dead trees over water because predators can’t get them. I live next to a big lake and our trees in the lake are rotting away. I wish TPWD would put up artificial tree habitat on our lakes for them. Telephone poles with treated boards screwed to them would work. I used to see hundreds of egrets marching across my pasture and they’d devastate the grasshoppers. Now I’m lucky to see 10.
We've got a ton of infested yards here in Penrose. Please contact me if you are interested for your survey
I'm in a community in Greeley, and we are in the thousands in the grass. They are eating up my garden. How can I get you my address?
Thank you for this video !
Thank you for sharing. Stay strong and be safe.

Wonderful information. Thank you!
Take it positively - you need to speak more clearly. 🙏🏽
Thank you. I’m in the midwest & keeping track on what’s going on. My kids would be devastated if we lose their 4H herd.
Should I be concerned with rabbit feces in my yard? I have many droppings and also I have not seen the rabbits in quite some time.
Hello and thanks for the great question! The rabbit feces do contain this virus and will allow it spread to other rabbits. This disease only affects rabbits and does not pose a danger to humans or any other animals. As long as you don't have pet rabbits that might possibly come into contact with the feces you don't need to be concerned. If you do have pet rabbits in your home please keep them away from the feces and be careful about accidentally stepping on the feces which can lead the disease to being carried into your house to your pet rabbits.
