Para entender la historia de Five Nights at Freddy's, hay que olvidarse de que estos son solo juegos y empezar a tomarlos como lo que son: una mezcla de terror y, sobre todo, ciencia ficción. Esta cronología la realizamos entre tres youtubers conocidos de FNAF y yo. Si les gusta el contenido de este juego, les invito a visitar sus canales. Ahora sí, empecemos. ¿Qué pasaría si dos amigos abren una pizzería? Lo normal sería que todo vaya relativamente bien, con algunos problemas menores. Pero la pregunta cambia completamente si nos preguntamos ¿qué pasaría si Henry y William abren una pizzería? En un principio, estos personajes eran grandes amigos. Henry era un talentoso mecánico que cuidaba a su única hija, Charlie. No se sabe nada de su esposa ni si tiene más familia. William Afton, por otro lado, venía de una familia acomodada con una excelente capacidad para la mecánica. Su familia estaba compuesta por cinco miembros: William, su hija menor Elizabeth, un hijo cuyo nombre desconocemos (le llamaremos Crying Child porque llora todo el tiempo), Michael Afton (el hijo mayor) y su esposa, de la que no se sabe nada. Juntos, estos dos amigos unieron fuerzas y, entre los años 1980 y 1982, abrieron Fredbear's Family Diner, cuyo atractivo principal eran los animatrónicos. Estos robots podían ser controlados por sí mismos, por personas o por almas. Aunque ambos crearon los animatrónicos, Henry destacó con un complejo sistema de resortes que permitía a las personas usar los trajes. Sin embargo, estos eran extremadamente peligrosos si se activaban accidentalmente. Los trajes híbridos más exitosos que crearon fueron Fredbear y Spring Bonnie. A medida que el negocio crecía, William comenzaba a mostrar su lado oscuro: no estaba solo interesado en la pizzería, sino también en matar personas. A espaldas de Henry, William abrió un segundo local llamado Circus Baby's Pizza World, donde introdujo nuevos animatrónicos: los Funtime, creados específicamente para matar. Durante la inauguración de Circus Baby, ocurrió una tragedia. A pesar de las advertencias de William, su hija Elizabeth fue al cuarto donde estaba su animatrónico favorito, Baby, y fue asesinada por él. O más bien, su alma fue atrapada dentro del animatrónico. Esta tragedia llevó a William a perder el control de su propia vida. Por su parte, Henry seguía expandiendo su negocio con la creación de nuevos personajes como Freddy, Foxy, Chica y Bonnie, mientras William lidiaba con la muerte de sus hijos y su creciente obsesión con el concepto de remanente, una sustancia que atrapaba las almas en los animatrónicos.
