I must say, being aware of a weak articulation basket, is the first step towards a more solidified one. Thank you for this great content, you thoroughly explained with very specific examples what great speech can bring to the youth. Unfortunately what I have noticed, this subject of being aware of ones own articulation skills, is getting more inefficient every year. Like you mentioned, short form content, fast pacing of the new world equals to laziness in the most beautiful skill there is, clarified communication. Easiest subscribe in a while.

Overall you offer really great advice that I’m sure applies to most of the people watching, however for me my problem is actually the opposite. when I try to speak-for example, when I am called on in class and put on the spot-my mind just goes blank. Instead of stuttering over my words and yapping (although sometimes I fall into this trap), I just blank, not knowing what to say. I am left to sit there in silence as the class waits for my answer, only for me to force out a half-developed, poorly-constructed line of thought. Of course, I embellish a bit, but I feel like my problem is less that my mouth is too fast, and more that my brain is too slow. Thinking deeper about it, I think I could attribute this to a poor attention span-my easily getting distracted definitely does not serve me well in situations where I have to think quick on my feet or think deeply about a subject. Also, that I have a tendency to really mull over every word and choose very carefully what I say before I say it. Because of that, sometimes my sentences come out a bit unnatural, and slow. Looking back on what I just wrote, it appears quite paradoxical. I am describing a paralysis due to both over-analysis and under-analysis. So yeah that is why I have trouble speaking sometimes 😭 I try to get in as much practice as I can through participating in class, talking to people, mentoring… any way I can talk in front of a group of people. Still, it is quite difficult. It doesn’t feel like it’s getting easier.

My problem when speaking is i get so nervous, my heart beats fast, sweaty palms and my voice becomes shakey. My voice is low and when i try to speak louder it happens like this. What i can do?

So this is why i realise that some certain people keep me sleepy while they're talking. Besides that, this video was really insightful!
