    For first try, I think the cheapest and most versatile is a teblet and the Touchosc. You can try different layouts, whats fits the best for your stile. And later invest a physical device.

    • @mowglitv
      @mowglitv 19 часов назад

      I agree Touch OSC is good and versatile but I wouldn't recommend it as the entry point into MIDI for many reasons. Firstly you need a touch device which is already more expensive (and more fragile!) than an entry-level MIDI controller. Another issue is the fact that the possibilities are endless regarding the amount of controls and configuration, this results in "too many options freeze" for beginners. Starting with limited options is a good thing in this case. While very useful, I find the lack of physical controls on touch-screens a problem. It's easy to keep your finger on a slider while looking elsewhere but not so easy to do the same on a touch screen. Also, physical controllers give you eye-free haptic feedback which again, it's extremely useful in a performance setting. Having said that, if you already have a tablet go for it!

    Yes Mogli, that looks nice, but reminds me very suspiciously of 3 difrend Shadertoy & ISF codes which are published under a CC license for non-commercial use. But you're sell that for money and not a little, I don't really know what to think of something like that! Ja Mogli dass sieht ja nett aus, erinnert mich aber sehr verdächtig an 3 Shadertoy & ISF Codes welche unter einer CC Lizenz für nicht kommerziellen Gebrauch veröffentlicht sind. I've never seen the things that you are talking about believe it or not. My plugin is clearly inspired by the Rotoreliefs of Marcel Duchamp as I explain in the video. If there are any similarities with what you mention, then they were also inspired by Rotoreliefs which where made in the 1920's. Are you suggesting that I give away all of my work for free? I give away my knowledge and experience for free yet apparently that's not good enough! Interesting.

    Well done, because many people don't seem to know or understand the simple timeline animation function. And yes, it is bad and very worrying that Resolume itself only makes a very incomplete video documentation and no longer continues the good, complete PDF manual. I don't agree at all with the videos and the search function on the support page. I want an index in a downloadable PDF where I can search for keywords and texts that I can study and analyze at my leisure. In the completely incomplete videos, no one knows where the answers to their current questions are. You have to be clairvoyant to know which topics and points can be found in a video and at what point in time (timecode). 1000+1 minus points for Resolume!!!

    • @mowglitv
      @mowglitv 5 месяцев назад

      There's no simple way of achieving what you want, other than to re-think how you structure your composition. If you want the same effect applied to a bunch of clips you could use effects clips and/or groups etc...way instead of placing the effect individually on every clip. It won't be exactly what you want but your composition will be way more efficient.

    ✨🌠🌟⭐⭐ Hi5 Mowgli 🙋 really cool that you are giving away more and more free Resolume plugins. That's how it should be among & betwen us video artists that we make cool things available to each other, show some social commitment in our area and prove that it doesn't always have to be about cash and, last but not least, platforms like Jucebar who only want to benefit from our work to do almost nothing and leave them behind of us. ,👏👏 Thank you very much Mowgli 🙏🌺and yes the effect looks great💗, as a video enthusiast who lived through the analogue era I am always up for retro😜. Very well done, keep it up!! 🌞 With only the warmest and best regards bennoH.🐹

      Thanks for your comments but I'm afraid that I'm not giving this stuff away. I didn't create it, I'm just reviewing it and publicising it! Having said that, I also sell plugins and I don't see anything wrong with that. I create a lot of free content but I also have to make a living. I don't understand how Juicebar wants to benefit from your work, your work should be benefitting from Juicebar and if it isn't, then don't buy anything from it.

    • @bennoH.-cr9gu
      @bennoH.-cr9gu 7 месяцев назад

      @@mowglitv Yes, that's all understandable and people have to live on something. Bat Art should never be primarily about money, but you probably see it the same way and I have now too closed my project with free Arena/Avenue plugins (78 pieces) for various reasons and am currently working on a new one, to create a series where I will then charge a new fee, like 50.-US$ or € for a package of around 80 to 160 plugins plus I will add the old series of 78 as an free extra. I don't want to have to make a alloverliving from art - that's probably what very few artists who ended up with resounding success (often after their lives) deliberately intended, but rather felt internally compelled to do their thing. I'm thinking of people I've grown fond of, like Vinzent VanGogh and the like. But I see things differently with JuiceBar. ResolumeB.V. earn enough money from hear main & great software itself, which also has 1000 + 1 errors in it, & should concentrate on this and promote the users completely free of charge with a platform like JuceBar and not earn so much from the sales off. I am not alone with such an attitude, consider the very recent judgment against the AppleStore in the EU!! But yes, the life of an artist is a very bitter and often breadless one, but I still describe myself as a light and video artist from time to time. With only the best wishes and greetings bennoH.🐹

      @Blueblackngold 7 месяцев назад

      @@mowglitv sure. Let’s start with the fact there’s no one off switch. The software it comes with leaves very little customizability options to where you have to buy css for another $80 to simplify the twisters ease of use (and even then it’s far off). To customize it you have to go in and out and in and out over and over again closing and reopening your daw. This is extremely inefficient and wasteful You have to continually remap, and the guidance available on the dj tech tools sight is very sparse. It isn’t user friendly. The sequence mode is very attractive yet almost no info exists on the set up It’s a $80 product with bells and whistles.

    • @mowglitv

      @@Blueblackngold I do agree that having to go in and out of your editing software is a drawback. But I have no idea what this css buying that you mention is. I've found the editor app to be extremely comprehensive and the light feedback can be fully controlled with MIDI feedback from your application. You mention a DAW and this video is about Resolume. Out of all the MIDI controllers that I have (and I have a few!) most don't have an on/off switch.

    This is great! Thanks for the tutorial. Needed this before May. I’m participating in a video installation festival and I needed more info about setting cue points looping and re triggering. A beat pad totally makes sense. My question is can this be used in conjunction with AUM? iPad, korg, and DJ Software. I.e., DJ pro Any info would be greatly appreciated.✌️

      Thanks. Your question is a bit vague. What do you mean by AUM? Resolume can be used in conjunction with anything but what exactly are you trying to achieve?

      @@mowglitv AUM is kind of like AUV3 or audio bus. We use it with a korg synth in combination with the dj software. What I'm thinking is that I could route the audio to Reolume and create on fly videos to beatmatch with the Dj (live) basically.

      @@HVYCHKNRADIO yes, that's possible. You should get a MIDI clock into Resolume from whatever you're using to make the music. Having said that, Ableton Link is way more stable than MIDI clock.

    Are there any content generators outside of Resolume that you would recommend? We own a ton of QLab licenses and from what I have seen so far, QLab does not have any kind of content generator built-in like Resolume.
