I think this is one of the first dramas where I was actually rooting for the “bad” guys. I wanted them to get their revenge. This spoiled Snow White doormat and her Scooby Gang looking, weak boyfriend shouldn’t run off into the sunset together. They don’t deserve it. Even at the end, they think only of themselves…she really took after her father that way…look how they ruined their friends’ wedding for their own proposal.

Nasty man. He legit ruined her mother’s life - TWICE - and abandoned his daughter so he could marry a woman with money. Now he hopes she puts aside her revenge and live happily with the half sister who grew up loved and cherished all so he can alleviate his guilt at the twilight of his life? She was way kinder than I would have been in this conversation with him. He can take his nostalgia snd shove it where the sun don’t shine.

Wow. I’ve watched a lot of drama clips and seen a lot of bad behavior, but this guy is as bad as possible without actually being a villain. He leaves his pregnant girlfriend behind, ends up in jail - which apparently has no letter sending capabilities - then comes back and puts himself into her life while knowing she’s married, and then ditches her again after destroying her marriage. Spineless, nasty little excuse for a man.

This is a terrible movie of people accepting abuse and teaching forgiveness as a way of excusing bad behavior. The daughter is the worst character in this movie, a doormat and honestly if not for her aunt who is potrayed as ruthless but in the real sense is the one who fought for these two foolish women to stand a chance against their enemies, they would have dissapeared into oblivion with their niceness. Allowing abuse is not being nice, letting people walk all over you and abuse and humiliate you only to come back with a sorry is not being good and i hate these chinese movies that potray this as being good...

That ex husband is still disgusting. He’s just trying to unburden himself as he nears the end of his life. He let his mistress steal the idea of his wife, abandoned her and his daughter for what he thought was a more cultured lifestyle, fathered a devious little brat on the second wife, and now wants to play like he’s a good person. Unfortunately, the daughter from his first wife is as much a doormat as her mother was. She was willing to let go of the woman who destroyed their family and regressed her mother into a permanent childlike state just for an apology? As if her mom would even understand what the apology was for. 😡 I understand being a good person, and I understand that the Chinese believe that a good person forgives, but there are limits. And the line between a forgiving soul and one who just let the world step all over their face is constantly blurred in these dramas. Got to the end of the clip and thank God the mother did not take that nasty ex-husband of hers back. I hope that doesn’t change with any future episodes. He sounds like he was just going to milk her for her talent anyways. She needs to finally get on with her life and maybe even find someone who truly cares for her and treats her well.
