Yeah, sadly this version may be out print. I had good memories of playing it so I wanted to make my own recording of it.

I'll have to tidy up the score and parts before I can release it, but I'll post an update on this channel when it becomes available.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the recording David! I played this piece in community band too. To make this recording, I first created a digital version of the score using a notation software called Sibelius. Dorico is also a notation software worth considering. If your budget is tight, you could try out Musescore instead which is free, though it has fewer features. Making a digital score with these programs is like a combination between using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Paint, though there is a higher learning curve. What is cool about these programs is that they can use a computer synthesizer (called a sound library) to play your score back and create a recording. I purchased an extra sound library called NotePerformer which has much higher quality than the built in sound library that comes with Sibelius, and that's what you hear in this recording. Hopefully that gives you some software that you can use to get started.

I should add that I spent time optimizing the dynamics, balance, and sound of all the instruments in the score, just like how a band director would finesse their ensemble's sound, so the default NotePerformer playback probably won't sound this good out of the box. I also duplicated many of the instruments to make the recording sound more full.

@@ericfalley does noteperformer also work on musescore written scores ? musescore 4 has now a decent sound library to start with but this quality is really exceptional!
