Yes, the voice acting in Subnautica is great, there is just one thing I really wish they had done differently. One of the voice actors they used has a very distinctive voice, and he plays 3 different characters in the game without altering his voice in any way (the captain of the Aurora, the engineer in lifepod 7 and Paul Torgal). That is quite immersion breaking since it is so obvious that it's the same guy.

Well there's a very good reason people are still talking about it a decade later... did I just say a decade?? Now I feel old...

Sorry I gave it the benefit of the doubt and kept giving it the benefit of the doubt but it was a snoozefest and I'm not a gamer who needs a constant fast paced adrenaline fueled thrill ride, the way too frequent cut scenes removed a lot of player agency.

Cant wait for subnautica 3 (or subnautica 2 depending on how you view it)

Subnautica is and will continue to be my #1 go to example of pushing the boundaries of gaming while also being an art piece and interesting. This game as far as i am concered is a masterpiece and im not sure of anything will ever top it. Itjust blends so well into each biome you explore and the progression is perfect. Im always finding something new when i replay it as well. I am excited to see what unknown worlds does in the future as they have my attention

You'd have to define "Masterpiece" but yes, it has genuinely good gameplay and an original premise and on top of that it looks pretty.

I know this is a radical opinion but it’s my favorite game I’ve ever played. I know there is better games out there but it just does something for me no other game has ever done

the gameplay gets boring sometimes { connecting america was the most boring part for me } but the story is good

I wish they could fix all the bugs and make the game more friendly towards mod.. 😢 i need more content from the game 😂 its not enough.. i have finished the game 5 times already this year.. 😅

5 reasons you should realize you are all being scammed. Broken promises for years. Failure to deliver. Inconsistent pricing and statements, overpriced content. Devs ban players for personal feelings. An absolutely awful trash fire of any kind of optimization. No company is loyal to you. No company owes you anything. No company wants anything from you other than free advertising and money for the bare minimum. They will raise the price on whatever other content is actually delivered for this 'upgrade' from whatever they claim the price will be right now. Feel free to come back in a few months and reply. The yi ling design is so bad, it looks nothing like what we voted for (yi qi) so they changed the name

there isn't a deadline for WC to have the game out this month. yes there is but its not a must. they CAN release the game later but all that means is that they have to pay back their loan through other means. if you read the contract it states two different clauses one of which being what and how WC has to pay if ASA is released ON/BEFORE 10/31/23 and the other clause is what and how they will pay if its released AFTER. so really if WC wanted to take a gamble they could easily blow by the "deadline" and postpone the release but honestly i doubt they will but its important to note that the 31st of October isn't an absolute guarantee, its merely the best case scenario and thats all it is at the moment. the simple fact that we are already past the 2 week minimum for their steam early access requirement tells you that either they are going to release it for consoles first where there isn't a requirement, or they intend to not have an October 31st release date for steam. your call on that, i just wanted to make sure we were all aware that the 31st is not absolute and that it very well could be pushed back into November, December, or even into 2024 of all things.

You hit all the same points I am excited about, especially the baby wild dinos. I too am a huge fan of taming and breeding, so this adds a new level of realism and other methods of taming.

Yes all these things are definitely reasons to be excited. Unfortunately it doesn’t excuse the price tag that the publisher has forced on wild card for the upgrade.

There should be no reason to be excited. This is such a weird release. I expect a complete sh** show of a release.
