I want to learn how to crotchet. I took up knitting because it made more sense to my young mind but there are some beautiful layered crotchet blanket patterns I have found recently and want to dive in but I have been stalking gathering than learning/practing 😅 So glad I found your channel

I'm actually of the opposite of you. I prefer the amigurumi patterns since those are the kind of patterns I enjoy more than wearables, so I'd probably make the turtledoves for myself and then maybe gift the others to someone else.

This looks like a very nice subscription box, even to my not-a-crocheter eye. The magazine is rather impressive; it looks sturdy, has more patterns in it than I expected, nicely illustrated from what you showed us, and having a glossary/conversion chart on the back is just icing on the cake. The "from the community" feature is really cool, too. Is the yarn as wonderfully squishy as it looks? They're certainly beautiful colors. And then all the little extras like the pen & wooden cup; you can tell they put a lot of thought into putting it all together. Thank you for sharing your goodies with us; I enjoyed watching your video.

I just have to say, HOW THE HELL DO WE HAVE THE SAME NAILPOLISH ON, mine looks exactly like yours but it’s a multichrome green with a red purple shift to it ! It was an OPI brand I forget the name of the color

I agree that crochet magazines are way overpriced. They are overpriced here too in England. They put their prices up by double a few years ago. Funnily enough crochet made a big comeback around the same time!!

I agree that cotton is better for wash cloths and any other kitchen or bathroom items. Ive been a crocheter for over 40 years and ive never used wool for those type of things..I am in the UK and I know bag o day is American but i don't think that should make a difference!! 😊

Your temp blanket is so pretty! I like your sunburst square, nice colors. I have no time management tips, I am retired, lol. I do notice time passes quickly when I am crocheting or crafting! I like cotton for kitchen things, its just my preference. and its cheaper.

Joannes is not closing down. They filed for chapter 11, not chapter 13 which is totally different. If they file for chapter 13 that means they are closing and liquidating all their assets. Chapter 11 means that they are restructuring and getting a break from the creditors breathing down their neck and adding to their bills. The investors desperately want to keep Joannes open because they know how important it is to us and also to them, so they have also given Joannes new funding for their restructuring. So far, they’re saying they have not decided to close any stores yet, but that may change, especially in small areas where the Joannes is large and not enough income to support the population where it sits. So everybody don’t worry Joannes so far is not closing. They are just restructuring. They are going to shrink some of the stores and they are going to eliminate probably a couple of The Ones that are in small towns and things that don’t support enough of the stores. So don’t go running off to Joannes buying tons and tons and tons of yarn. Thinking that they’re gonna close down because they’re not.

I think that ice yarns is based in Turkey. I may be wrong but egg day crochet has compared some of the yards to other companies and it seems like they are the manufacturer for a lot.

The go-for faux yarn makes great fur scrunchies.
