Im not an expert neither a mechanic but I don't think that the BOV have to do anything with your issue ,,,, if the BOV is damaged or not working properly u'll have a leak in the boost so u will lose power and u'll notice it or the value won't open and u will not hear the BOV whistle when u release the throttle .... I think the issue is related to the throttle body or maybe a the throttle cable..... as i said am not an expert.. so for your safety let a professional check it. Yusuf
