WNC Marion - Buck Creek Destroyed by Hurricane Helene
Drove over today to Marion NC with Carrie Lynn. Took supplies and gasoline. We drove up Buck Creek and were able to meet a few people who shared their stories with us and we were able to help them out in a small way.
We drove Buck Creek up as far as we could. As we got near the mountain top crews were still working to clear the road and power lines. This once was a beautiful mountain pass drive
This area has been absolutely destroyed. We dropped off the remaining supplies in Marion. It will take years for WNC to recover from this. The landscape has been changed forever.
I can only imagine what the rest of the area must look like. We will be making trips back to try and help with clean up d...

Winter fly fishing in Cherokee NC on their catch and release water. January 2022. Caught a few on a nymph, but they seemed to love streamers this day. This made no sense since it was a beautiful bright sunny day out and the water was crystal clear.

2021 Fall trip with the Carolina Fly Fishing Club to Western NC. Did some streamer fishing, but mostly did Euro Nymphing. Mop flies were on fire with small midge patterns.

Carrie 1st trout fishing on the West Fork Pigeon River. 2020
what was the water temp in Dec. I fish in June for a week, right after I fish NJ in the whole month of May, Its nice to be retired, and do what I like to do fly fish for trout, .
Great job! I was in the trophy section at Raven Fork last weekend and hooked in to 2 very big fish. Both got off but I got to fight each for a good 3-4 minutes. I'm real happy you got to get yours in the net. Well done!

On that bridge you posted I once walked down to the left and had a fawn walk up to me from the island and stand next to me for few. Really cool
You definitely know how to find some great fish brother and man some of the colors of them trout on all your videos was awesome. Congratulations on your PB on your other video, you caught some great fish that day no doubt! Keep up the great work and tight lines!
