Video 4 of the Pythagorean Theorem Story: More area ideas about triangles
Просмотров 712 часов назад
In this video, we delve deeper into the Pythagorean Theorem by examining the intricate beauty of the area formula for triangles and its interaction with other geometric shapes. As we prepare to explore a new proof by Ann Condit, we take a moment to appreciate the elegance of how the area of dynamically changing triangles can still equate to a static triangle's area, emphasizing the constancy of...
Video 3: The iconic proof of the Pythagorean Theorem by Euclid
Просмотров 1812 часов назад
In this video, we delve into one of math’s most celebrated proofs: Euclid's Proof from Elements (Proposition 1.47). Journey back 2000 years and step into the geometric mindset of the Greeks, where we transform land and agricultural fields into a canvas of profound mathematical principles. With a story of a farmer named Leo, we illustrate the timeless truth of the Pythagorean Theorem through Euc...
Video 2: Rediscovering the Pythagorean theorem: Area

Video 5 of the Pythagorean Theorem Story: Brilliance Now
Просмотров 1621 день назад
Our journey through the Pythagorean Theorem proofs began with simple methods and Euclid’s classical proof. Now, in our last video of Part 1, we explore Ann Condit’s unique 1938 proof from South Bend, Indiana. Ann Condit’s proof is a testament to fresh perspectives in mathematics, showing the depth and beauty of the Pythagorean Theorem. Her proof is the only proof that uses the midpoint of the h...

Human intelligence is the intellectual capability of humans, which is marked by complex cognitive feats and high levels of motivation and self-awareness. Using their intelligence, humans are able to learn, form concepts, understand, and apply logic and reason. Human intelligence is also thought to encompass their capacities to recognize patterns, plan, innovate, solve problems, make decisions, retain information, and use language to communicate. There are conflicting ideas about how intelligence should be conceptualized and measured. In psychometrics, human intelligence is commonly assessed by intelligence quotient (IQ) tests, although the validity of these tests is disputed. Several subcategories of intelligence, such as emotional intelligence and social intelligence, have been proposed, and there remains significant debate as to whether these represent distinct forms of intelligence.[1] There is also ongoing debate regarding how an individual's level of intelligence is formed, ranging from the idea that intelligence is fixed at birth to the idea that it is malleable and can change depending on a person's mindset and efforts.[2]😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

I'm listening along, but I doubt it. I don't believe anyone can actually conceptualize a never ending existence. It almost seems like torture, unjust, to “BE” forever

Oh no 😧- not torture! Thanks for the comment - insightful. I do think there is a way to think about this and not be "tortured" by it. Perhaps think about someone you really like to spend time with and also imagine doing something with them that you both really enjoy (or multiple things if you like). I would assume that having that experience end would sometimes be much less joyful than having it continue. "If" you did not have time constraints, you could continue this joyful relationship and activity as long as you both desired to. And, even if you "took a break" for awhile - if time was not limiting you - you could pick it up again later. And later, and later... So we could infer from this that how a "never ending" existence "feels" (torture vs. joy) depends on what you are doing and experiencing in that existence. I would encourage you to look at it more from a "quality" perspective than a "quantity" of time perspective.
