Hi. Thanks for this simple video. My defrost cycle wasn’t working and it failed this test so I got a new board and replaced it. After i started up again the new one failed the test as well. I was convinced the board must be faulty and I got a third one. That failed as well. The system works great summer and winter besides this frosting issue.
It sounds like you might have a different problem causing the defrost cycle to fail, and the board may not be the issue. Did you try testing the defrost sensor?
No you’re wrong check the coil sensor first always, inspect back of board second for slugs or frogs and then check cooling pressure, then ambient sensor the make sure you have 24 volts to board. Your welcome
