I love how Japanese in the comment section are mentioning the Taisho Romanticism while most foreigners are totally confused. The song reminds me of Siam around the same era that was also going through modernization as well, and that's how most of the "Modern" Thai cultures and national costumes such as Raj Pattern came from.

This actually reminds me of a bad job that I had with a toxic boss. The soda is my faith, trust, & mental health when I started working there (AKA a tiny fizz of excitement), but his mockery, doubting, yelling & toxicity towards me were the Mentos that made my heart (the soda) explode into fizzy bubbles, therefore destroying my mental health, causing me to have crying fits a couple times (AKA a giant fizz of anxiety). What made it WORSE was that I needed that job to get through high school. Looking back now, this is a good way to interpret it. Metaphorically speaking: Mina & Sana: Bubbly soda, fizzy like my heart, I need your trust if I am gonna work with you. (I need you to be able to trust me to work independently if you're going to hire me.) Jihyo & Nayeon: I guess this is the consequence for letting you put Mentos in, an explosion of bubbly soda. (This is my fault for continuing to work here despite you being toxic towards me. Even though you were clearly informed about my mental struggles, you treated me like a slave who had no potential rather than a friend who needed accommodations.)

I THINK ITS FUNNY LOOKING BACK AT THIS NOW- Knowing i was NOT into cultural stuff back then but now im researching about western asian things and what the Japanese did for people to hate them so much in the past. I now know why and ever since i researched ive been meaning to use Senbokazakura with about the pasts itself. Ever since WWII came ive done nothing but think about the horrific things Japan hid from their OWN people and their own crimes.
